Kcic may have been well intentioned but their attempt to handle the situation resembles the keystone cops on a good day.

There seems to be £1 milion raised if we take the original offer at face value. This would allow rent free football for 3 years surely.

The mystery businessman should unveil himself and take ownership of this. If sisu have an interest all past misgivings should be abondoned and the initiative seized.

If it is not and the mystery man lurks in shadows we are entitled to ask why and is this in fact just a stunt to cause mischief and mayhem - which other not so mystery men appear to have indulged themselves in the past.

It remains a mystery.

It was me...

...but I've spent several days waiting on phone calls.....passing the time on betfair....unfortunately, that £1m now stands at £67.14.

I figured we didn't need it anyhow as more than 5000 will turn up.

Sorry folks.

Back to the drawing board.

Why would someone remain secret? For what aim?

All this person is doing is providing funding to facilitate a return to the Ricoh. He is not making any business decision on behalf of the club and therefore there is no real need to know who it is. The aim of remaining anonymous is probably because the focus should be on the club not on who a benefactor is.

Care to share your measurements then? I would suggest they wouldn't remain secret if this goes further. We shall see.

My understanding from the original information was that it was a consortium of local business men one of whom was well known to the fans.... does it matter who the one is if it's backed by a number of "local business men"?

I agree with you, but do you think the individual investors in our club should be named too?

I think you are missing the point.

This scenario is possible;

Someone wants to create some more negative headlines.
They conclude a good headline for kcic is "sisu do not want to double attendances in Coventry for free"
They use Michael Orton to front this.
Sisu call the bluff and accept talks.
They want to discuss some of this over the phone. Its decided this can be used as a get out of jail card - sisu will not talk.

There is no deal. There was no deal. A plan aimed at mischief went wrong and one person now carries the can while others stay away waiting for another escapade.

Now this could be wrong and is pure conjecture. The only way to prove this is show the deal and the investors.

If that is the case it is massively unfair on Michael.

as you say it's pure conjecture but if Elliot came out and said "ohhh it's me" would that give the offer any more or less credibility?

OK I see what you are getting at now, but I guess if that WERE to be the case would we ever find out? It would just be something else to throw in to the fire and poke with a large stick.

The disappointment is PWKH doesn't post in here anymore - he would at least clarify if a deal has been set up.

Could well be true though. I don't see any other reason for Michael not wanting to talk to them.

And for that matter refusing to answer any questions on the detail. If Sisu did that they would be crucified.

I think the less we all know about the unknow benefactor (s) the better, the amoutn of times in the transfer market where we show our hand too early and the deal falls flat. Plus the fact that there are clearly personal battles going on between certain parties, this could fuel the fire further. The name(s) are irrelavant, its more about the deal on the table and how realistic that deal is.

Exactly, and it is probably why he didn't want to answer the phone to them in case they asked questions.....

He should be shot (not literally) for putting Michael in that position and taking advantage and should have just done it himself.

Sincerely hope it isn't Elliot, Hoffman etc.. We have been there and done that. If it was a fresh face(s), then once the intial phone call stumbling block has been overcome, then there is an onus on SISU (and I mean TF and/or JS) to respond appropraitely. It may be a flat "No", but at least it treats us fans with a modicum of respect; something which has been thin on the ground.

After months of Michael wanting talks and "all it takes is one phone call", it seems odd that he would threaten to walk away over such trivialities.

Someone is pulling his strings, I reckon.

Given that even people who share your views on here now cringe with embarrassment when you make a post your comment is somewhat amusing.

How about SISU unmask their investors at the same time? Just for balance of course, would hate people to think that you whre being one sided.

Unless if course they are as bad as Ms Seppella. I'm amazed Jack also has no faith in the mystery businessman.
