All of a sudden the players are taking the blame for the mistake's being made week in week out. Yes the same player's Thorn wouldn't swap with anybody earlier in the season.
It's time for Thorn and his coaching staff In his own words to MAN UP and take some responsability for whats going on.
Is it a lack of coaching, training, tactics or has he lost the respect of the players.

At will not be going the club can not afford to get rid of him as well as their still proberly paying AB and Coleman off.
He will be here until next year/end of season and proberly start of Division 1.
He suits the club unfortunatly on the decline with it's soul ripped out.

I'm starting to look at Thorn and wondering if he's up to it as well. He isn't helping himself with this diamond formation that's not working (even ex managers etc are telling him to drop it) along with players falling out with him and players being played out of position. The after match interviews are embarrasing and sound like he's been on the pop. I just wonder what the players think if he talks to the players like he does on the radio? Doesn't inspire me at all.

Dont get me wrong, he's had a bad card dealt to him but I just wonder now If Thorn has started to turn on the players. He has to remember thay many are youth team players..there not ready for playing at this level. No point laying into them in the dressing room...we all knew who he was on about for the mistake for the first goal.

I'm not saying he's blameless but if we had better quality players, especially upfront we'd have won comfortably on saturday with the chances we created in the first half.

Sorry but if we could buy quality players there is no way he would be manager. As others have said he is all we can afford at the moment and will be here till Shitsu sell up

We haven't even got a bloody fitness coach - he's working with both hands tied behind his back.

I'm sick of this bullshit - people just don't think! Ever heard of a team without a fitness coach? - no me neither!!!

But that's the thing... Why put mcsheffrey back on the Wing?? We lost to Southampton reserves and yet again we lose the game in the last 30 mins of a game. Story of the season

Check this out:

FOUR POINTS won when we've been winning at HT.

That's beyond pathetic!

Its either a lack of fitness or lack of concentration.

I'd say both a lack of fitness and experience. Both SISU's fault and not Andy Thorn's

To get the results, you need the tools.

Sure, AT has made mistakes, but SISU have taken away the tools while bragging about how they've cut costs. A process they'll need to repeat when we (most likely) end up in League 1.

I don't think he's looking for sympathy. He's looking for support - SISU have given him frack all while bigging up daft 'Text-a-Sub' ideas and then undermining him by having the ex-Chairmen in the dugout.

And, let's not forget - the majority of fans wanted AT to get the job. That was before 13 players left and SISU in their wisdom, only brought in 3.

Senior players haven't helped either. Its not AT's fault that a highly talented player like Eastwood couldn't be arsed to get fit.

You are of course correct. Thorn worships at the sisu temple every day. He is so out of his depth he must be preying they stay on for ever. Working for the sisu dollar? It's the only one that will pay this pathetic parody of a manager.

Did SISU tell AT to buy 2 goalkeepers
He bought an unfit McDonald
He told Deegan he wasn't fit
I'm not sure they know who's fit and who isn't

I'm sorry - he's got a squad that finished 18th and had 9 first team players taken away.

We're still playing the same attractive football that got him the job and creating enough chances to win games. If Marlon King was still here we'd be doing much better - not to mention the rest of them.

Where do people imagine we ought to be with this squad? I think it's the worst squad in the league.

Well get one thing straight King was only here because of Boothroyd and once he went that was that (depite Thorn's toe curling nonsense in the summer that he had signed him up).

"Entertaining football" - Where do you get these gems from? I did laugh at this one though. Next you'll be telling me Thorn is in line for the QPR job.

A bit disingenuous, that.

I keep hearing this '13 players v 3 players' argument, which makes for good anti-SISU PR. The reality, however, is that five of them were youth players (replenished by the new class); two were non-contributing crocks; one retired; one was rubbish; and one was sold from an area of depth.

Westwood and King were replaced; only Gunnarsson wasn't replaced. I'm not going to say that the replacements are on a par, but that would be hard to do for any Championship club. We only got Marlon because we were willing to take on a sex offender, and Westwood was exceptional.

Senior players haven't helped either. Its not AT's fault that a highly talented player like Eastwood couldn't be arsed to get fit.

That's precisely the job of the manager - to get the best out of the players. It's forgivable if you see improvements across the board apart from a couple of 'bad apples', but are we really seeing that from AT? Don't think so.

The difference is their brought their kids in to a confident team, and they still had a strong midfield of Hammond, cork, sneiderlin and Lallana - that's pretty much their first choice midfield.

You can make an argument for a higher level of quality throughout the side, certainly. I'm just tired of hearing the guff about how we're putting a youth team out there when it's clearly not true.

How many goals have we scored again?

I think most teams (which ended the season in the bottom 3rd) would struggle when they lose their key striker, let alone a top keeper and useful midfielder, without funds to replace them. And when I say replace them, I mean of the same or superior quality.

I doubt if the likes of MacDonald were AT's first choice. They were what he could afford to bring in.

Seriously, what were people expecting this season? There's a reason why the bookies had us marked to go down before the season started.

Why didn't you paste the sentence that followed? I'll do it for you: "I'm not going to say that the replacements are on a par, but that would be hard to do for any Championship club."

Replace is not the same thing as replicate.

And when I say replace them, I mean of the same or superior quality.

You can't do that. King is Premiership quality; it was only because of exceptional circumstances that CCFC were able to land a player such as that. Westwood is also Premiership quality; you can't expect to sign that kind of player from the lower leagues every time. Murphy may be a downgrade, but he's not significantly worse than most goalies at this level.

And McDonald was AT's choice. He made no secret of it when McDonald was signed.

You mean he was a choice we could afford.

When teams like Barnsley are outbidding us for players, you know were fooked, regardless of the manager.

Christ, we've had ONE loan signing in 2 seasons! Last season we were the only team in the league without a single loan player, that was the same case this season as well until Gardner came here.

People moan about AT not changing the game-plan during games - with what exactly, we couldn't even fill the subs bench last weekend!

Yes. I'm sure he'd have preferred Rooney if he could have afforded it, but every team has a budget. 400k or so is actually not an unreasonable amount to go fishing for a striker who could do the business in the Championship. If AT was the super-hot scout that he supposedly is, then it oughtn't have been a problem to bring someone in for that kind of money.

Christ, we've had ONE loan signing in 2 seasons! Last season we were the only team in the league without a single loan player, that was the same case this season as well until Gardner came here.

Everybody knows pursestrings are tight. That doesn't relate to whether or not AT extracts the most from the resources he has.

1) To say 9 first teamer's is untrue, only 3 of them were, the rest were injured or out of favour. That is not too say they wouldn't be getting first team football with our squad now.

2) We had a squad who finished 18th but I keep hearing if we had kept those players we would be top 10, so were we have an under achieving at 18th? was 18th an unfair reflection on the quality of that squad?

Majority of fans expected a relegation battle but didn't expect to be effectively relegated by the new year.
