Although I admire him as a trier and on occasion his performances, I think the time has arrived to put Platt on the bench and use him as a 'super-sub' as Ireland used to use Niall Quinn.

We need more mobility up front, so I'd go with either McDonald or McSheffrey up front with Nimely, giving us an option to play Gael in midfield.

I like Platt but he is a bit cumbersome and we need to try something different going forward.

Platt won everything in the air yesterday, don't think we can afford to drop him at the moment. I do think we get overrun in the middle of the park, especially away from home. I'd quite like to see Thomas, Deegan and Norwood in the centre, with Nimely and McSheffery on the wings or just behind Platt.

It's alright saying drop him, but atm our play suits him and we haven't got any replacement for him. Playing Sheff or McDonald up with Nimely will mean we will have to change our shape / system and at this stage in the season in our current predicament I don't think we can afford to be trialing new things

he shouldnt be dropped imo he's been our main man last few games just 4-4-2 is so easy to overun when you go against a team which spent 20mil we should play something like:

--------------------Murphy------------------
christie----keogh----craine---hussey/clarke
-------deegs------thomas----norwood
-----------nimley-----sheffers
-----------------platt--------------

so platt wins everything up front thats why we need him

@SW88

The way we play away from home is probably going to be the reason we go down. After 9 away defeats in a row, don't you think it's time to try something new?

No option for this week...he'll be knackered....it's already been stated by the management that he can only play one game a week.

Should be interesting next season if we get relegated

It probably is but I don't see what changes will be positive changes. We'll still have the same personnel playing no matter what formation we set up in.
