The only forum more in meltdown than ours, is Mansfield's
they are gutted that we lost on Tuesday as they believe that was their last chance
They can;t see them picking up 3 more points that us

I think the playoffs will be confirmed this weekend . (I was also convinced Lincoln would beat us, but think we would be more prepared for them next time)

Exactly.

So we did it once in August and once in October and have never done it since and in both those games we had Jodi Jones in our side.

Not grumpy, smiley. Just based on experience of watching the City so many years.

we could well miss out on goal difference by 3 or 4 goals

now if you take

yeovil - at least 2 goals too many let in
Stevenage - should have scored more

this could still haunt us

I know what you mean, no one builds hope and dashes it better than cov!! But I haven’t seen Robins so angry and personally attacking the players like Tuesday night. I just feel a massive reaction on Saturday and we will win and win by clear goals, not a last minute scuffed win

Oh, I definitely think we will see a positive reaction. I just think our defence is so fragile at the moment and it must have knocked out confidence the amount of goals we are conceding.

I think if we are playing Morecambe and need to win 4-0 and we go a goal down to shit goalkeeping or defending and somebody tells me to calm down because its in our hands I might piss myself with anger.

If we lose on Saturday and Mansfield win.
They will be at the very least plus 4 GD minimum ahead of us. But as they have scored alot more goals. We will need to score at the very least 5 goals vs Morecambe. And possibly more than 5 goals if Mansfield win by more than one goal.

Basically. Our GD has fucked us over big time if we lose on Saturday and Mansfield win. Which there is a very good chance of bracing ourselves for this worst case scenario.

Basically lose Saturday and Mansfield win. Then it's curtains. There is no way Mansfield won't take their get out of jail card.

Unless of course we can somehow overtake Lincoln and they miss out, which of course would be very sweet.

Fortunately Accrington lost on Tuesday, they will want to win the championship in style in their final home game in front of their fans.

I don't want to be going into the Morecambe game needing a win.

I'm not sure what kind of nerves or confidence people have saying that would be fine.

Indeed. Wouldn’t want that scenario either. Think I said somewhere else that hopefully we put it to bed Saturday and we can all relax, enjoy the day against Morcombe and wheel out a few “legends”, then prepare for the real business.
My rallying cry for the Notts County game didn’t work so hopefully @skybluesam66 who started the thread may have more luck.

In our hands. Nobody’s fault but our own if we don’t make it. Time for a hero to step up and make a name for himself.

And that man is either Ryan Haynes, Peter Vincenti, or Stuart Beavon.

I was hoping for a more solid run in and a bit of momentum behind us. But it is still in our hands to get over the play off line.

Then it is a case of regroup and get our heads right. At least we won't be favourites which could actually be an advantage.

I've finally calmed down after Tuesday night, and having read the majority of the threads have come to the conclusion that there is a pro and con for absolutely every argument going. End of the day, nothing we can do now other than hope City turn up and everything else goes our way. It's ours to lose so praying to all Gods, spiritual powers, higher beings, vegan overlords and Jimmy Hill that it stays that way. All form good and bad, previous results, moaning, etc is all irrelevant at this time of the seaons, all sorts of crazy stuff happens, so I've dusted myself off and looking forward to tomorrows games hoping for a City win and a Mansfield loss and then we can forget this ugly week and crack on with the job in hand.

Yep.

A win would be brilliant, but a draw will still leave our destiny in our own hands and I am quietly confident that Morecambe will get the point they need at home to Barnet tomorrow, leaving them with nowt to play for next weekend.

I will be going tomorrow as it's just down the road for me really.
I expect us to win without too much fuss. The team know what is required here so I'm looking forward to watching us produce on the day.

I feel good!! 2-0 cov win, a better more assured performance. No nonesense job done. Mansfield draw, county and lincoln loose. (4-0)

I would even go as far as to say we will play Exeter lincoln get county in play offs.

We win our last two it's entirely possible that we could overtake Lincoln AND Notts County.
