This needs to be the message.

Fisher and co are on the PR offensive, the "Mrs Mystery" persona of Joy is fading, now is the time to meet the fans en masse.

If journalists won't ask the questions we want asking, let us ask our own questions.

As police states everywhere say "if you've done nothing wrong, you've got nothing to hide".

We saw last time though it's a format that does nothing, plays to nothing, serves little purpose... as the shouty people were determined to have their shouty moments, and that meant those with questions that had their chance to hang people, or maybe even get some clarity, were able to be easily moved on from, and had no chance to follow up.

Not really sure why it would help.

Oh and point of order, it really isn't a PR offensive. I might write more later... if I can concentrate but it's anything but a PR offensive.

Yes, some fans forums would be a great idea, if only for fans to call tim a liar and moan that it was just a pr stunt to get people to Sixfields.

Damn, I was hoping you'd expand, I'd appreciate your thoughts on the PR angle here.

I disagree that it does nothing. I learned more personally seeing Fisher and seeing how (even with Linell being bodyguard) he squirmed when asked tricky questions.

The last fans forum raised questions (who will own the stadium, why were we paying players from CCFC Ltd, etc.) that no journalist had bothered to ask and hasn't bothered to ask since, but are vital questions that need answers.

As I said, those people with valid points may be moved on (I remember the attempt to tar OSB as some ACL nut by Fisher as particularly amusing) but the very fact they are moved on told us something.

Besides, it got me out the house.

I will try, it might have to wait until the day time though, as it's evening and my brain is fuddled It might also be long and boring if I ever try and write it... so might turn up in 5 years' time(!)

Suffice to say though in my view that article is not a PR campaign there beyond the concern that she really needs to speak, I'd rather see it as a reaffirmation of intent rather than to try to get people onside. It's not using the media to attempt to move peoples' positions, it's using the media to send a message very clearly, and very bluntly. Interestingly, and the biggest criticism is completely opposed to what some people have said really, I'd suggest there's very little effort to get people onside, which further confirms the slightly absurd approach they're taking - right or wrong, agree or disagree, their lack of effort in using the media to try and get people onside, I find remarkable - and that's still going on! One blunt interview doesn't change that.

I say 'using the media' advisedly too, as it's not something SISU particularly do, they've never really done it, and certainly never do it well. If anything, it's the media using them.

But that's another story...

This time can we attach TF to a lie detector?
In addition if he lies 240 selected fans can vote on the answer by applying 1 volt each to a metal headband on Tim's head. Should be a sell out.

make sure its wired up in series and not parallel otherwise it will always only ever be 1volt instead of the preferred 240volts he deserves.

We could all compare muppet pictures couldn't we? I think it would be a great idea if the people were screened (to see if they will ask serious questions that make sense)

So who decides what is a serious question? we all have different agendas so one man's question is stupid to another doesn't mean they are wrong.

imho, well overdue for TF to be out of OUR club,
but JS thinks he's done a great job,
would be nice for JS to qualify her reasons & explanation of 'a great job',
or perhaps time for TF to explain

I think it is down to the fact he has done what she wanted him to do. He has toughed it out, met fans. They know they are not popular. They can't be honest because their agenda and fans agenda are different.

Remember they are used to taking over companies and making ruthless unpopular decisions; but normally that only effects a few hundred people. Not a whole fan base or city.

So he has had to be pretty tough skinned and it is Fisher who has been in the front line while Seppala maintains her private life. That is what she appreciates; he has stuck to the task given him.

that's it old smug face is front of house getting the abuse which he takes, she barks the orders , and hides in the background, that's why she's happy with tim fisher, he's doing his bit for the sisu cause, and he's succeeded in dividing fans opinions on their real motives. So old Timmy boy is pulling his weight.

Fans forums are utterly pointless. Can you recall any of them having even one single effect on what happens at the club? I for one cannot. Sisu try to use them as a PR stunt, but as TF was utterly inept and Linnell has been known to only offer questions to people he knows / met, you never get a true cross section of the fans. like it or not.

Who would do the screening? If Linnell did it, you would only get the people who tow his line! Sisu do it? It will be 1 hour of propaganda. The only people prepared to waste their time on these are those who are frustrated by not being represented by sisu, the media, or the local fan groups. It is their time to vent their feelings. Sadly 9/10 when they vent, they dont convey their argument!

Best way to get rid of sisu? Don't give them one single penny, and do everything you can to prevent them from building a stadium. When they have to go back to the League at the end of the season or max 3 years they will need to have concrete plans. If not, then they will be desperate for an exit strategy
