To be honest other than the East stand it was a dump below and behind the seats.
The West stand was falling down it would have struggled to get a safety certificate if I remember rightly, that was one of the main problems need a new stand they could not afford.The West Stand was dated but the Main Stand had had a new roof and new seating, as had the Sky Blue stand whilst its roof had been improved and strengthened. So apart from the West Stand needing tarting up there wasn't significant investment needed, and certainly not the level of investment needed to build a new stadium.

Level of facilities in all but the east stand were grossly inadequate.
Do what other councils have done. CCC purchase HR, club pays an affordable rent. When purchase price has been paid back to CCC ownership passes back to the club.Agreed it but evidently couldn't afford it.
If you are in debt what security do you give in case of default? CCC would have found themselves over a barrel if they did.

Oh and Fisher said he could buy the land build a state of the art 30000 seater stadium with training facilities for less we are still fucking waiting that would have solved all our problems.
