Scunny Home Game Now Kids For A Quid

Coventry City have announced that the home game versus Scunny United on Friday April 22nd is now "Kids For A Quid Day"

The match, which was moved by then manager Aidy Boothroyd to Good Friday, a day which is not a full public holiday in Coventry in order to give his players an extra day ahead of the away game at Middlesbrough on Easter Monday, will see full price paying adults, young adults (aged 16-18) or senior citizens able to bring up to four children to the game for a pound each.

These tickets can be bought from the ticket office at the Ricoh Arena, City Central or over the phone right up to kick off which is at 3pm and those in the Family Zone will have an Easter egg hunt, face painting and an Easter bonnet competition.

Speaking to the club website, Ticket Office boss Stephen Ebanks said:

"We want to create a real buzz at this match and because children are off school we thought kids for a quid was a great way of attracting families.

"There will be plenty to keep kids entertained before the game with a whole host of activities and then it promises to be a great atmosphere inside the Ricoh for the match itself.

"We have some of the best value prices in the Championship for families, particularly for our Junior Sky Blues, but we thought kids for a quid would make a real statement and as we want to get as many fans here as we can for the Good Friday game.

"This is a chance for kids to come to the match for just a quid and maybe, for some, it will be a chance to sample a game for the first time and experience the Ricoh Arena on a matchday."

Thats great, and long may it continue, however what are they doing for the loyal season ticket holder who have forked out a fortune for their tickets up front for both themselves and their kids. Me included, i have been doing this for many years.

It might even get Gary Glitter to turn up and pay full price
