To an extent. Perhaps we should send https://twitter.com/WMPCovFc a friendly tweet.

However, we are being lied to here. We have already sold up to block 12 in SS, and at least 2000 will be given the away fans, so those few thousand in that stand that potentially could be sold to city fans do not account for all the unsold seats the club are telling us about - even if you factor in corporate and those reserved for ST holders. We know nobody has bought a ticket in the centre blocks of the NS, because the club haven't opened it, and it never appeared for online sales. They are telling people they have though, and that is naughty.

I haven't seen the Club say that, but let's also bear in mind that the Club have 4,000 Season Tickets that they have reserved for previous Season Ticket holders, let's hope that they get the remaining tickets on sale ASAP.

If the police are so keen on massive gaps of seats between the fans then I suggest they buy them and leave them empty take the money from their pension fund there will be plenty in there.

Wouldn't work: every last ticket would be moved onto the grey ticket market

There have been a number of tweets overnight from the club responding to queries saying that the NS is sold out (and if it isn't, why is it not on sale). The numbers don't stack up. I've seen a 28K+ crowd at the Ricoh (Middlesbrough) when there were only 2K total in the SS.

We'll see, and perhaps any minute someone will pipe up and say they have 8 tickets in block 30.

I have a huge amount of sympathy for the people on the front line at the TO who have obviously worked their nads off over the last few days, but at a management level, somebody isn't handling this very well.

Blocks 27 & 28 were sold at a cash kiosk at the shop. My mates got tickets yesterday morning and they are either in front of 27 or back of 28. I am not sure about 29-31 though.

I agree that the numbers don't stack up, 18,000 for instance sold for the home fans, 4,000 reserved for season Ticket Holders, 2,000 Held for away fans so where are the other 8,000 seats that are missing?

It's correct it doesn't stack up entirely, the Club need to be clearer..

Definition of sold out in a football ground: All available tickets for sale being purchased.

We as fans have done our duty, any empty seats (and the embarrassment that causes) will be down to the piss poor management of the club.

They don't deserve more than 10k fans up there.

Question - How much of the 32,000 capacity can be sold, taking into account rewarding/policing/segregration? If we know this figure, which the club should know we can take a guess on the remaining tickets.

I had to move from block 29, moved PSL and 3x ST to block 11 in Sth Stand, got tickets this morning but when I opened the envelope it contain only Gilly tcks. Via twitter been told ST booklets had ran out but will be posted soon.

BUT have also been told via twitter that I will be contacted on Monday to discuss my PSL & ST ?? Has anybody else got ST in blocks are 10 or 11? Have you got your ST or just Gilly tcks? Is St Stand blocks 10/11 going to be open?

Yes Westo, I bought a season ticket over the phone on Wednesday and relocated from my old away in block 29 to block 10. Couldn't reserve seats for my 4 other mates on the same row and so far they haven't been able to get through. At present I'm sitting on my own as they have now taken sales in this stand down...I hear we may now be getting contacted to move because of the fucking police? I will be extra pissed off if I have to move again.

The away section will be blocks 6-9 and at a guess blocks 7-9 are 1000 seats, block 6 is a smaller one in corner and maybe has 500 so that's 3.5k. Segregation blocks 10 and 11 prob 1000 each so that's another 2k. They are prob also using block 5 in the lloyds as segregation and that's prob another 500. You then have all the corporate seats on that never go on general sale, guessing 3k. And and I haven't seen any seats on sale yet in blocks 11-13 and that's poss another 3k. We have to hope that someone sees sense and realises you don't need 3 miles distance between the coventry and gillingham fans.

Don't envy the ticket office staff today. Will be plenty of people who roll out of bed and go straight to the TO to buy a ticket to be told none are available. Could be a few fingers being pointed and hissy fits. Hope not.

Turning away customers is a really poor way to run a business. Not all of those that were refused entry to the ticket office yesterday will come back.

i was a st holder in the NS block 31, and i have since renewed in block 37. I notice that the online site is still allowing me to buy a gill ticket in the north stand against my previous seat.

So adds to the theory that there are significant numbers in the NS still potentially for sale

Yes, we get it. Your point makes sense. People are just saying the numbers don't stack up. Club are saying 17.7K sold, plus 4K reserved for STs. And that's it apparently, no more seats until SS is opened. Seriously, since when has the SS had a capacity of over 10K?

Ultimately, I think you are right, all seats will be made available because money talks. They're just annoying a few people with how this has all been handled.

It shouldn't be a logistical nightmare once the computer system was up and running.

As I understand it the club put together a match plan before each game. There is absolutely no reason at all that they cannot just follow the same procedures and policies as the Crewe game.

I understand the queues and the busy website, and the overworked staff, I get all that. What I don't get is why half the ground is being left empty.

Apologies for not reading all the thread - but if my maths is correct....

15,000 sold
2,200 S Tickets
4,000 S Tickets (to buy)
South (away stand) 6,000 capacity - I know some will be Gills plus segregation

Total 27,2000 ish (capacity 32,000)

Does this mean they are not including/intending counting the old CET stand - surely they will open this up??!!?? -no brainer?

Worse case scenario - I'm watching up at the pub and will use the following match as my welcome home (knew I should have bought one of the 23 in the family zone last night !!!)

Tell us that you're only selling 15000 tickets at general sale you daft bastards. So that when they said 8000 had been sold, all of us didn't think oh great, that's only a quarter of the stadium. We can wait a few days. They didn't even tell us that they're opening the north stand.

I don't think that anyone is suggesting that they are deliberately restricting sales.

The question is - even allowing for the timescales - whether they have managed the release of tickets as well as could reasonably have been expected.

Presumably you think that they have, some of the rest of us are not too sure.

Can't see why they just don't open up the telegraph on Monday for cash / card purchases just for this match? Two lines in the ticket office- one for that, the other for those ST holders who want to renew in the 4,000 seats still left?
