With us it’s normally tit for tat pricing, if a club charges our fans cat A prices, we do the same, if you agree to our game being a cat C at your place, it’ll be the same at ours.

Average Season Ticket prices across Europe (from 2019)

Premier League £516
Bundesliga £159
La Liga £205
Serie A £225
Ligue 1 £172

What a ripoff… but if people will pay then I guess it carries on

The club are pretty good these days at reacting to fan feedback. Pretty sure marketing/comms read SBT (why wouldn’t they?)

They may put out an offer for the Forest game all things considered.

Not really. It'll probably sell a shit load of tickets still if not sell out. If it sells out is it a dumb move?

Hope it does sell out but probably not. Think they could have done a one off price for the first game back, or maybe a deal such as 2 adult tickets for *£45. Having said that I remember paying £26 at Hartlepool about 10 years ago.

Mid week games.
long distance to travel.
So more travel spending money in local businesses and the stadium.
to make it cheaper for our fans at their place.
because it’s during the Christmas period when people don’t have as much spare cash.
Or it’s in January when people are still skint form Christmas and have weeks to wait for pay day.

You might be right there. I know they had crazy cheap season tickets but now you mention it the matchday prices might have been as high as that..

Yes it was expensive for away fans cheaper in the home end with all the differant offers they did.
They had a 2 year freeze on ST £150 they have put them up this season to £198 now that's what you call an offer.

It's definitely been done based on away fans.

Birmingham on a Wednesday night is category A because they know they'll sell the end. Derby, Forest and Stoke will also bring thousands.

Fulham is the strange one. They will bring around 1000 and, despite recent years in the Prem, they are far from a big pull. It will be one of the lowest Saturday crowds of the season.

Blues away support is good but I’d be surprised if they had 6k here on a Tuesday night early on in the season, they’ve sold the end once, 3k is usually what they bring

Leeds charge £42 at their gaff, as do Wensdeh, along with Ipswich who used to be the third most expensive in the league, they’re the reason why we brought in categories, to be able to charge their fans what they charge us. We’re a nothing club to the likes of West Brom, if they make our game at their place a cat C we’ll do the same.
This is an article from a few years ago, but we still do the same thing, read it, and if you still don’t understand what I’m telling you then you never will

That’s different to ours then, you only set Cat A if the opposition charge you similar, otherwise Cat B and Cat C for everyone else

So it’s not that hard to understand then ?. I thought tit for tat pricing would have been enough of an explanation but apparently not.

Going back a few years our then owner thought it was a piss take that we was charging £20 which is what he thought was a fair price, and other clubs were charging us over double that, so he brought in this way of pricing games, and our new owners have stuck with it.

which clubs reduced the prices at their ground when you did this?

Barnsley surely is cat C for all other clubs anyway as well - you’re a bit shit and unattractive - what other clubs have less appeal as an away club to you anyway?

How thick exactly, is a tub of spunk?

We still have some funds to help buy season tickets for individuals/families if people are struggling and want to nominate themselves or anyone else. It’s not too late for us to buy them. Just go in the pinned thread and use the nomination form.
I know the last 2 years have been odd but we’ve still raised funds and want to help as we hopefully head back into the stadiums again.

You made no sense. You ramble on about “tit for tat” pricing then failed to evidence it - your club is a home fixture to others that will always be one no one will premium price for unless it’s local rivalry - your argument is made up gibberish

My issue is the price for concessions/kids.

I was planning on taking the kids up first game. £30 for me fair enough its championship football, but to charge those under 18/ concessions up to £25 is a joke.

For me to go first game thats £70. Add in your booking fees thats £75. Pushing £100 for me and a 6 and 11 year old for 1 game is taking the piss a bit.

The adult prices fair enough, but to be charging that for children i dont agree with.

Thats the next generation of fans

They definitely sold over 5000 more than once. The last time they came was in the first round of the League Cup and they still brought around 3500.
