If it is a 5 month thing and we sign McBean as a development player then we have a plan B in place to take his turn if and when he leaves

The 5 month loans leave you a bit nervy, especially if they do well as you don't know if you will keep them for the whole season.

Bit like Arma last season. Then again after Xmas Arma's goals dried out.

I wonder whether that's all we're going to get now that the rules have changed around recalls

Fingers crossed!

Be nice if we could get another too and then send George Thomas out on loan for 6 months.

I think Thomas and Lamieras need sending out to L2 on loan till Jan.

I think Mogga will go for another winger in the loan market.

He wants 6 loan players. The 6th probably being McBean so he plays between U21s and 1st team when needed.

We have McCann and Page already. Hopefully Dan today.

If we sign Ojala on a perm that's CB sorted.

Mogga said the emergence of Stevenson means he doesn't need to spend money in the CM position.

Leaving 2 more loan slots on another winger and striker?

Looks to have some potential. I would still like the Fin and the Hitchin lad to be signed.

I think Lameiras needs to be an impact sub from the bench only unfortunately.

Too many times we have had just little flashes of inspiration from him with nothing to go with it. He gets knocked off the ball far too easily too.

I think he would be better coming off the bench maybe against tired legs.

Lamerias just doesn't cut it for me. You get the odd flashes but he isn't anything more than 10min player.

He's out of contract after this season anyway. I don't see Mogga keeping him.

We need to sign the Finn. Even with the addition of Turnbull. Once we have him in place, that should give us a watertight defence on top of what we've got.

A stirker (This Burnley guy prehaps), and another attacking player and we won't be looking too far away.

I'm still not convinced about either of the Thomas' though. George should go out on loan for sure, could really boost his confidence.

Ojala has been training with us all week. Weird stuff going around the place, Mowbray reportedly not happy, no cash, yet we have purchased Turnbull, McBean has played for the U21's, all of which costs money.

That's what I don't get.

I would think he just wants to be 100% sure before signing players.

I thought McBean would have signed by now. Maybe TM is going cool on the Fin after signing Turnbull?

On the telegraph's podcast they basically said there's no rush on McBean as he'll be coming in as a development player.

I don't believe a word the telegraph says, especially about transfers.

I was under the impression that turnbull was free with the clause that Southampton received 50% of any sell on fee, which could be anything !

I would think TM has seen enough dead legs to last him a life time at this club it must have taken him at least a year to get rid of the cannon fodder that SP the previous manager paniced and bought in let alone the ones that TM bought and let him down. I think he is right to play the waiting game and get at least someone who can play football and has a brain to match

That was just a rumour from one saints fan, we'll never know the true fee.

Maybe, but if we had the Finn our defence could be really good, and it means we're covered should someone get injured. Surely if the budget is comparable to last season, we can bring him in, and still strengthen the attacking positions too.

After Tuesday nights gate figures they will be revising the budget down! we are in this bloody catch 22 situation shite football low crowds revised budgets - however if we could all be like the geordies and support the team no matter what the budget will become such that we could get the players we need to get us out of this hell hole of a division

I think that's the point people need to get across.

Everybody get down and back CCFC. People cant sit at home and wonder why the budget goes down and demand investment.

Just a thought but maybe Mogga is waiting to see if he can still get Kevin Long before signing Ojala?

Could be a double Burnley loan deal?

It's got to work both ways though.

The club put the prices up, and have a weaker team (currently than last year). What do they expect? More people turning up, or less? Our fans have been through so many years of shit, that the loyalty gets questioned. I know many people that had been season ticket holders for 20+ years but in the last couple of seasons have jacked it in.

I agree the fans aren't blameless totally, but, if the club say 'we need an average of 11,000 to break even', and we do that, then they say 'we got it wrong' it's frustrating. When we sell one of our most promising young players for '3 million' and then don't reinvest any of that money, it's frustrating. When the prices are 50% plus more expensive than last season (even if last season was a good deal), it's frustrating. Things like this don't encourage people to go, and sadly as a result of many years of smoke, mirrors, and deceit I think this club has had too much damage to recover from. A promotion will be the only thing to inspire people, but no one has the faith to get behind it because of this long term damage inflicted.

Newcastle were in the Premier League last season, we've been on death row for around 12 years.

I can remember newcastle only 3 and 4 thousand at home games, and if we had bigger crowds its only more money for joy with only a small % of it going to the team, but it is catch 22 and always will be when you have money people rather than football people holding the purse.
