First and last will define our season IMO.

First 5:

QPR (H)
Sheff Wed (A)
Preston (H)
Oxford (A)
Stoke (H)

Second:

Derby (A)
Sunderland (H)
Sheff Utd (A)
Burnley (H)
Portsmouth (H)

Last:

Hull (A)
WBA (H)
Plymouth (A)
Luton (A)
M’boro (H)

Need 11-12 in the first and last blocks and hope for 7 in the middle. Gives us 27-29pts 68-70pts total. Might just squeeze it if teams above us continue to stumble. Probably need another 3 in there somewhere to make it IMO. Gonna be tough.

QPR is pivitol for me. Win it and you can genuinely see 4 or 5 wins in the first block. Lose it and all that confidence and mood swell before the Leeds game has gone. The doubters and crictics will be back in force.

The next two blocks are kind of irrelevant until we see how we've done in the first 5.

Be a huge ask to make the playoffs from here imo , but we will obviously give it a go

Very similar trajectory to 2 seasons ago, win Tuesday and Saturday and we should be in the top 6 at tea time. Hard ask I know!

I'm expecting some of the teams above us to kick on. WBA and Boro both did some incredible business in Jan, they are the teams to beat now in the playoff race.

We probably need 13-15 from the next 5 to give us any chance, that Sun - Sheff U - Burnley run is gonna be really tough.

Still think our team is top 6 if all fit, although when we'll see that i have no idea. Wright is a huge loss, one of the best in the division.
I've said before though, i really don't see the teams that finish 5th and 6th doing much in the play offs anyway. I'd actually fancy a fully fit us over WBA and Boro to cause an upset but we've got a lot to do. I've already got one eye on next season and hopeful of it being a good one from the get go.

Looking at the fixtures this week, we shouldn't be looking any further than Tuesday. Lose here and I think you will see the momentum drop back out pretty quickly. As much of a free hit the last two games were on paper, the way we rolled over does feel like it took a bit of a shine off the run, and I really hope we course correct on Tuesday evening.

The results across the 15 as well as the previous 31 define the season

In the play off season we didn't get into the top 6 until the final two games. We were still 8th having played 43.

I reckon we’ll get 8 from the next 5. Can see us losing away at Oxford.

I’d prefer to do five blocks of three so the players don’t get so tired

Our run in doesn't look that bad imo, the tougher fixtures are at home. We will need to turn up for these home matches.
Will probably need to beat one of Sunderland or Burnley and 4 points from WBA and Middlesbrough

Yeah would be a different story if Wright was available. At this point we'll be lucky to see him fully fit before April

The season we made the play-offs I remember walking away from the CBS after Stoke had battered us 0-4, I was convinced the season was over. Will Smallbone seemed miles above the level of any of our players, couldn't get my head around how bad we had been. The fixture list and rivals for the play-offs seemed so daunting.

My point being, fuck knows what is going to happen, I'm trying not to feel to disheartened by our last two fixtures. Lots of players still to come back, Grimes in to add a bit of a barrier before our defence. Other teams will have wobbles too. They will be taking points off each other. loads of moving parts.

Those teams we’re thinking are bankers are potential banana skins too.

Oxford away going to be a tricky one as they on a rich vein of form as is Pompey at Home.

Like others have said going to be an enjoyable run in if we get the players back and start playing to our potential.

Could well go into final game of the season requiring a win for playoffs.
