Would that be the reason Lambert wasnt keen on him at Norwich Nonleague ? But surely isnt that stuff you find out before you sign him ?

Easier said than done. I'm sure Lambert did all he could to keep it quiet-and of course, we were in the "beggars can't be choosers" situation just now.

So on one note, we say imagine if Thorn had money to spend etc... His first signing so far is proving to be a disaster.

If he'd have had money when he needed it (which of course the board insisted he did), he'd have signed Le Fondre-or someone better, sooner. McDonald was what we were reduced to.

So why say McDonald was his number 1 choice? Is he learning off SISU to say what we want to hear?

We have little or no money so panic buying is the last thing we need. Surely the 400k could have been better used brining some striker in on loan from a premiership team?

Hindsight is such a lovely thing

Don't make me do this again, chuckle..ok..:claping hands:

It reminds me of the time the girl I was seeing dumped me on a night out. Later that night, I got off with another girl who I knew had fancied me for ages. "You were always my first choice", I lied to her.

In other words..when that's the best you can get, you won't admit it-certainly not to the one you've just got, as obviously they will be upset! In football, it's called "man management". An attempt to motivate a player who was possibly concerned that we only wanted him as we had missed out on other targets.

Did you fuck her up the arse like Lambert has Thorn from the looks of things??

In a similar way to McCarthy not letting us have Eastwood on loan, we had to buy him.

I suppose I should repeat my other corker from yesterday then, in case anyone missed it;

Cody McDonald is like AT's mail order bride: overpriced, fatter than in the video, and not at all what you thought you were getting for the money.

It was last year..just like the old mail order bride trick of using a video shot long ago when things looked a bit more trim

As soon as he got home to Norwich, he pigged out on Delia's lovely pies :laugh:

Whereas the leak I got told had him as an unfit bloke who "was a builder only a few years ago, after all"-meaning the step up in fitness from P/T to F/T is an issue. And yeah...fit enough for L2...check out Freddy's L1/L2 record. Say no more.

Not getting on his back, hope he comes good..but it does sound like he needs to pull his finger out a bit and get fitter faster. If he's capable of it.
