This is truely outrageous !!!!!

Millwall could relocate to Kent if The Den land sale is pushed through by Lewisham Council next week

Ah, Dongo is outraged. Seemed to remember a total lack of outrage when we lost our ground to Wasps/.

Bit of a dick-ish thread title Dongo...biting for comments there.

You're right though...it is outrageous. Hope for them and their fans that it doesn't end up that way.

It's can't be true Grendel told us no other council would treat their football club as bad.
Ours fought for us to stay.
These lot are chasing theirs out of town!!
Shocking.
On a serious note it is very worrying as it does show the level of importance of a football club when they are playing at this level.

Its what potentially could have happened to the Ricoh.
Whilst we were on holiday in Northampton.

What, they could have sold it to a property development company?

They could have sold it for housing yes. Instead it went to another sporting club so it stays as a sporting venue which we can rent. When our legal action is over of course.

Sorry I forgot you don't like to hear that others maybe worse than our council.
Nothing I have said on here isn't true.
Lewisham council are outrageous it is bang out of order.
Imagine if the senior people there were running CCC when we left for Northampton.

Apart from you are trying to spin out as ccc aren't bad, the same as your proud of them thread.

Unless you think people can't see straight through it?

Why can't millwall out bid the developer? Why have they never bought the land themselves?

I am proud of them. You keep bringing that comment up like I am ashamed of it. I keep reminding you that I still think it.
I also keep reminding you are part of the reason why. That there was a charity involved in the business that was intentially getting devalued.
I appreciated you hold the jimmy legacy fund in high regard.
I am sure if SISU were doing something that was going to affect them badly financially and a Council stopped it happening you would be proud of them as well.

Look, Dong's made himself look a little silly with the thread title but with regards to the context of his post, it is worrying for Millwall FC.

If any club should be sympathetic to their needs, it'd be us.

Yes Higgs probably never came into their thinking at all
(You keep telling yourself that if it makes allowing a charity to get shafted taste better)

Their forum seems fairly relaxed about it. As it's land around the ground that's up for development, and there is some discord within the council, many seem to think that a forced move won't happen. Wait and see what happens with the vote next week.

Proud of the council ffs. They've played their part in the sad demise of our club. But still I expect nothing less from you dongo.

So a charity intentionally sells an asset for less than they pay for it - devaluing itself in the process - but whatever as long as you get to laud up the council scum.
