We have had them, plenty of them in recent years, Peter Reid, Mickey Adams, Iain Dowie, Ady Boothroyd all had oudles of experience won promotions, got to semi-finals. None a lot of good to be honest okay in fits and starts but eventually not a lot of good. Those saying no to new kids on the block Richard Shaw and/or Lee Carsley because they have no experience need to look one at their CVs and two where we are at the moment. We are a lowly third division club and dropping, forget our top division record, forget the nice new ground we are where we are. I'm not advocating either Shaw or Carsley but to say they have no experience is plain daft. Jimmy Hill was a shop steward when he came here, no managerial experience at all and we were in a similar position.

The games moved on ? another lame excuse. The goalposts are the same size, the pitch is similar size, the ball is round, there are eleven players on the pitch one of whom is a goalkeeper. The principle of football hasn't changed in 150 years. Be fit, get the ball, control it, pass to a teammate, work hard, create opportunities and win matches. This "game has moved on" mantra is bloody tripe.
