Some interesting words chosen again by AT,when he states,"thought it was an entertaing game and the supporters really got behind their team ,because,remember,it is their team". Is the inference that there was barely any protest or that its our team and Sisu are irrelevent.Saturdays telegraph also had an article where it alluded to a touch of the "CRAZY GANG",where @half time he lets them have five minutes straightening things out by themselves ,and then he puts his side

I was suprised there wasn't any real protests on Saturday,I think if we were losing there might have been some chants etc towards the end of the game. As for thorn,I know he's working with nothing and no help from above,but I get a touch of the yes man from him.

I don't think he is a 'yes' man, but he has to be a bit careful in what he says - after all, he wants to keep his job.

Yep thought so too ,sat in block 18 for a change it was dull as dishwater in there,not wishing to offend anyone but too many City fans sit on their hands throughout games we need a touch of the Blackpool or better still Stoke,after all the game is meant to generate emotion:facepalm:

Tbf, there wasnt enough of us to create any atmosphere. so many gaps around the ground the noise would never have been heard!

Are we already at the stage of putting everything the manager says through a fine comb, they're just post match interviews. Hes not going to come out and say "our support was shit today have you seen the attendance?" He has to try to encourage the fans to keep coming.

"it is their team ",raises the question in my mind of two scenarios ,either he meant there were no protests which pleased him , or Sisu are irrelevant in the relationship ,it can be taken either way ,so i begged the question ,no fine tooth comb ,trying to assertain others views

I think AT is busy doing the best he can do and that is keeping the focus of the squad on the playing side of things. I think it would be stupid to think that the players don't pay attention/care about what's happening off field and this could easily lead to a drop in confidence. So I don't think we'll ever hear him talking about off field activities at all, he'll just get on with what he's got.

As a fan, I didn't really feel like singing after that hostile welcoming at the turnstile. Having a posse of orange goons stood behind me all game made me very uncomfortable. The last few games there have been anti-SISU protests, and a cracking atmosphere-despite poor gates. This week, we've has a clamp-down, they've taken banners off most people who had them and effectively silenced and emasculated the fans. If my search is anything to go by, possibly literally in some cases...

I dont think they needed to be a demo on Saturday, with the attendence that low Siu must be getting the hint!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like most decent folk, I suspect Thorn toes the line in public - which is what we all want him to do - and does his complaining behind closed doors.

That is the mark of someone with integrity. He doesn't take the easy option of whinging in public (trying to elicit support and sympathy), he cracks on with his job, which is managing the resources allocated to him, no matter how scarce those resources are.

Thorn is doing a decent job so far and deserves credit for it. But equally, he knows that the team need support. Disturbances on the terraces distract the team on the pitch.
