Let's see how many are saying that by Christmas. The backing issue will have gone. Our wage bill is one of the biggest now in the league we are in. Fans will expect an instant return.

I wish I was as sure as you that the backing issue will be sorted next season.

But Yes, lets wait and see.
And in the meantime he still has my backing as well as from the majority of City fans.

Nope I don't need to ask people as I have seen all the poll results that have been done and still havn't seen one where Thorn isn't backed by the majority

The real truth is few care either way, when black was sacked people still cheered Reid when we beat palace, the vast majority are indifferent either way,

If Thorn is the right person, do you think honestly if we sacked him he'd get another job?

Oh god yeah, of course he'd get another job.
I mean there is no way the anti Thorn mob ( minority ) would not let him have another role at the club, they need to moan about someone after all don't they ?

Based upon what? You are seriously deluded if you believe he would be offered another managerial position. You sound like my Leicester supporting friends, they are delighted Thorn is still here.

At least some people are fully supportive of the way SISU are running the club. Fair play to you, SISU have got the right man in charge, they can't be all bad, eh?

also I think a few people argued that when we lost Turner, Gunnar, King and Westwood in the summer that they were not significant loses!

Gunnar, Turner king about to play in the play offs. Westwood second fiddle to the secondmost expensive keeper in the premiership.

Replaced with Murphy, Bigi/Thomas, Cody, Christie ???

It is pretty much obvious if we sacked him he would never work anywhere above league 2 as a manager again.

Hmmm .. Supporting the football manager that Sisu put in charge means you fully support everything else that they do. ... .... Really ?? Or is this another example of clutching at straws ?

They have put a tactically inept manager in charge of a club, yet you think it is a good decision?

You do realise that if any takeover was to happen that Thorn would be shown the door?

It's not clutching at straws. It's about bringing all fans together, it's about having a Plan B, it's about getting rid of the losing team, it's about making subs at the right time, it's about inspiring a team and squad, it's about inspiring a large proportion of fans and the media and players we may sign, it's about experience, it's about courage and it's about giving it a go.

Nothing to do with cutting back on the playing squad then ?

Are you honestly telling me that any of our last managers we have had in this league would have kept us up this season ?

Also cant see the point of this argument.

Probably worth focusing on SISU taking the initial steps towards liquidation. This argument becomes pretty futile if that happens.

Maybe try and save our club first then argue about the best manager

I think that maybe Dowie, Harbin and Flowers should have been kept but they were deemed not good enough by Ranson. I also think the others may have known how to shut down games when leading or drawing.

Good diversionary tactic. Not started a thread with my name tonight gloating about Thorn's achievements? Wonder why?

I still think he did a good job taking the team that was favourites for relegation then weakened further within a few points of staying up.

But is you think the fact that SISU have got AVRO ARVO whatever taking the first step that they have taken the last two times SISU liquidated a company as a diversionary tactic then yes I would say its a pretty damn big diversion.

If I wanted to get into the argument I would pull you up earlier when you said the restrictions on Thorn by the owners are now gone? (or words to that effect). I take you have spoke to SISU and they are now planning to back AT and we are not about to lose more players to be replaced with untested kids?

However I am genuinely shitting it for the future of CCFC. I am getting frustrated with coming on here and seeing people having debates about whether Bryan Richardson is a nasty man. Who our best 11 will be next season.

Its seems to me people don't seem to get that liquidation means there will not be a next season for CCFC.

I believe someone said 3000 season tickets have been sold. Those people who bought them need to have it explained to them from SISU that they are not taking steps preparing for liquidation

The staff at the club need this also explained to them

People considering buying season tickets need it explained to them

SISU have had this accusation thrown at them in the national media they have not replied

Like someone pointed out they replied instantly when someone's role was mis-described in the local news, but not a peep about this!

Yes I am diverted I think we should all be totally focused on forcing SISU to talk to us. They should be made to explain clearly what the ARVO move was all about.

Personally i think it is more important than the Thorn debate. Richardon debate. Are the kids ready yet debate. Best away grounds next season debate.

Call me a miserable bastard but this shit is worrying me

p.s sorry for the bite but above is the truth about the way I am thinking

pps Thorn still succeeds in relegation as that was expected. Him nearly getting us out of it wasn't

Poll shows According to the results of a Poll on this website, Coventry City supporters feel that owners SISU and The Board are to blame for the club's demise. 83.5% of those who responded.
