Speaking to the CT, Thorn said

"I haven't even thought about that. "I won't be spending all my time talking about Robbie Savage and that is no disrespect to him because he's had a good career.
"I think we are sensible enough and have got enough experience in the team to cope with anything like that - it's all about us and how we play, not about Robbie Savage or anybody else.

"I've told the boys it will be like a cup tie atmosphere and a terrific day so it is important we turn up. I know we taking a lot of fans over there and hopefully we can give them something to cheer about again."

Thorn has expressed the importantance of not letting down the Coventry City supporters making the journey today to Pride Park where the Sky Blues take on Derby County in a vital game.

Thorn was more concerned about not letting the fans down rather than Robbie Savage whose antics last season saw Jordan Clarke sent off.

I've been thinking for the last few days if Thorn doesn't get the job it will be a travesty. Not because he's proved himself, because he hasn't. But because he's shown that he cares about the club and he's shown he wants to play football in the right way. I'm sick of so called "names" coming to manage our club that don't do anything (whether that be through no backing or they don't feel they have to prove themselves) and Thorn goes against that grain. Like Black did. I really hope they stick it to them today, and especially Savage. I really wanted to go but I just couldn't afford it (poor student!), so good luck to the team and the fans today!

Couldn't agree more with Thorn being made manager. As far as Savage is concerned I'm sure a perceived issue with Coventry (by Coventry fans) wasn't going to bother him. So you see KG there is a post balanced with positivity and cynicism!

Ha ha!! I like it Macca, you should do this more often! And I'm glad we agree on Thorn. I'm not bothered about the result today, in his 4 games in charge he's showed he's more than capable AND he's pretty much made sure we're playing in this division next season, as long as nothing drastic happens.

What i like about Thorn is that he is a realist, he doesnt over promise and says it like it is. Saying that, i have been a bit more impressed about our style of attacking football and we are actually scoring goals which is very posiitive.

I agree covstu. We seem to be playing as a team, and players from different positions are beginning to chip in with goals again like we were doin at the start of the season. Mainly because of how attacking we are.

I predict us goin beaten for the rest of the season

We are getting results because there is no pressure. Good to see but this was needed in December/January/February when there was something to play for

Hopefully we can keep a good run up until the end of season. Last season the last few games were appalling to watch, it would be great if we can finish this season on a high.

I wonder what he will be saying on Late Kick Off tommorow, last time it was that we are rubbish and they should have won...

He said on twitter that it was a 'deserved point' for derby. In my opinion that's 1 point gained for them and 2 lost for us. We outplayed them for 85 minutes of the game. Unbelievable how he can say it was a deserved point. It was a lucky point.

If they survived being outplayed for 85 mins and made use of the 5 minutes by scoring 2 goals I would argue they deserved a point
