Does Elliott jump like Speedie or Gynn before him? (never seen him play so can't comment) (neither were tall but out jumped opponents regularly as they timed it so well (about 5'5")) these two were small players but big in heart and agility and exactly what we need to get us back up (battlers/big hearts and for their size won headers like freaks). I can't see where Elliott will play if not a replacement for Platt. As others have said we need some ariel presence in this league. Maybe (if and when) Thorn signs more players we will be able to find him a possition.

Nobody will take sheffers,he is woeful, lazy and slow.We are stuck with him and the obligitary one in ten ratio of decent performances, normally when he has (coming off bench)or about to be dropped.

I think sheff will go to a championship club especially if we get fleck today as they are very similar players except hopefully fleck has pace.
Keogh, mcsheff, bigi, wood and deegan all still to go in my opinion

well hes told elliot its gonna be attack attack attack which sounds promising

but he said the same thing last year, he must sort out the final third issue, perhaps elliott and fleck will do that?

I suppose losing so many players and only being avle to bring in 2 keepers and an unfit striker helped his plans

what worries me is that we dont have many players who are physically strong playing.... or that dominate by their presence. What i saw of League 1 last season there were plenty of big quick players in most teams and to some degree we have match that. Old saying of you have to earn the right to play your football ....... we need ball winners and i do not see them in the squad so far..... but i guess it is early days yet

The likes of McSheffery, Baker, Bell, etc seem to disappear or bounce off when the going gets tough and the young lads are still building the physique to mix it

Agreed, will never forget Gael being literally palmed away last season, like he wasn't even there. Which is why it was a big season for Deegan..oops.

Yep I accept these are the decisions to make, and actually believe it could be better for the players overall development, don't think this division will suit him at all.

But it was for a very similar young player in Fabien Delph at Leeds...it's where he learnt that you have to earn the right to play.

You're right that it could teach him to man up ,but if it were Newcastle and the fee was BIGINUFF Think his overall developement would be nurtured better there.Of course he could shine here but not on last seasons evidence mostly due to physique,I'm trying to mittigate this as ideally I would keep him for the future, for the upturn.Given the constraints for that upturn to come i'd take a Lee Bowyer over Bigi for the coming season,Carsley got a connect there? Sorry CCFC4LIFE I Know thats a controversy for you,and i agree with your sentiments.

So many good talents rot in Premiership reserves and drop out of the game, I think it would be a terrible move. And it would make terrible business sense given the lads love of our club. Do we really want to be forcing out the one player who is desperate to play? The passion he brings and his connection to the fans when on form is priceless, and the best buzz I've had watching this club since Wisey was in Sky Blue.

Nah, let him rip up L1 and mature, then if we must, sell him next Summer for 5m+. Selling him now would be the most short-sighted move possible, and one I would just not be able to swallow at all, sorry!

Oh and Bowyer is such a c**t that he makes Wisey look like Jesus on a kind day!
