to some fans it doesnt matter if we're top of the league or floating around at the bottom, we still seem to want to go against the manager.
im not saying that thorn is not making mistakes, but he wont get all the decisions right all of the time, no manager does.
Don't know how we can blame the ref. He got all the major decisions right including bigi. I thought Burnley were shocking but Howe made the changes and it changed the game for them. Murphy made 3 great saves again today.hes looking a great replacement more I see him
I agree he did make some strange decisions but the major ones he was right.M +D i'd call it a good ref performance if he was consistant ,about 15 mins before end ,one of theres made a 2 footed lunge on the edge of our box ,in closer contact of the opposingf player than Bigi's3 handball decisions which were'nt flagged that he cound'nt see ,2 given against us ,one benefited them ,THe foul on clingan on the touchline was high ,barely a word Juke being fouled, cynical fouls and tugs when we broke across the halfway line two or three times second ,not a word,6 mins injury time ,he set his mind agaist us from 20 mins out ,lost his objectivity ,just like me .
Exactly especially the amount of give me's we present teams. Tuesday was 1 point gained. Today was 3 points dropped. Bit like 1 step forward then 2 steps back. We need at least 4 points from the next 2 because after that It's going to be a struggleI have been saying for weeks that this side has all the look of relegation about them.
We play nice football, but nice football doesn't win matches. Just how many clear chances did we have on goal today? Compare that to Burnley.
We are scoring at an average of less than a goal a game and we simply have no cutting edge. If you don't score goals you are in big trouble even if you play the prettiest football in the entire world. 2 wins in 13 games tells you everything you need to know and that is that we are a poor side. You can have all the possession and lovely football possible, but if you don't score goals there is only one way the season can go.
Burnley scored two after sending off. O'Donavon couldn't do anything because he had to play in midfield because of this. Wasn't Thorns tactics that changed the game.

I would say we had 3 clear chances all of them fell to Mcdonald in the first 60 mins. Up to 60 mins I would say Burnley didn't have any clear chances, then after they had quite a few chances off the top of my head Austin missed two sitters and Murphy made a few saves and then there is the 2 goals as well.I have been saying for weeks that this side has all the look of relegation about them.

Completely agree Otis. Our lack of goals is our biggest concern. We should have put them to bed in the first half today.
The biggest plus we can take is that McDonald got off the mark. We need him to rediscover the sharpness and confidence he had in front of goal at Gillingham as soon as possible. It may have been at a lower level but I'm sure he'd have put that one-on-one he had in the first half away last season.
... and here is another thought... an interesting one in my eyes.
Thorn goes on about how grateful he is to be given a chance etc. No problem with that...
But because he is so grateful, does he have the balls to challenge Ken and SISU for players he really needs. Or is he not going to upset them just to keep himself in a job?
SISU have it there way as well because they know he will not challenge their authority one bit as they gave him a chance as a manager.
Of course he will not challenge them - they are the only people who would give him a manager's job. He cannot lose - blame them if it goes wrong - move on to better things if it goes OK. Though I am hyper-critical I felt some sympathy at the CWR interview. He knew he got it wrong and it was all rather uncomfortable.
Deegan needed to come on for Thomas before the sending off and he needed to come on for ROD after the sending off. Simples
