Maybe back up for Rushworth if we go up (Assuming Dovin not happy to sit on the bench)

Hi kicking / distribution is a big issue for me if we get promoted. You can't be giving the ball away cheaply against much better sides.

No guarantees that he stays, he will have lots of options after his performances this season. No doubt we are casting the net far and wide to make sure we aren't left short at keeper.

I wonder how his stats match up to other goalkeepers reference kicking/distribution?

Well I said this before and was laughed at but I agree his distribution is generally poor which is another reason I don't like our kick offs

I thought so.
But Ive heard a little whisper, Brighton want him there next season

Don't know if any ITKs have heard anything @Saddlebrains @Jimmy87

If its true we've been victims of our own success

We'll see, I guess, but he seemed very enthusiastic about moving here full time in a recent interview.

I want a keeper who can stop shots and come for crosses. That's the key metric, and Rushworth is pretty solid there, imho. Better than Dovin, I'd argue.

He can leave defence splitting passes and Cruyff turns to the guys who are paid to do that work, just keep your long kicks on the pitch, don't take unnecessary risks in front of goal, and that will do for me as a keeper. Just mho, obviously.

Rushworth is good on the ball, no idea what keeper you’re watching!

I'd be very surprised if Rushworth is here next season.

If Brighton don't have him in and around the first team squad then another PL team will and probably be able to pay a lot more money than us.

I really think Dovin can be as good, I certainly don't think we should write him off until we see how he comes back, although we need a good backup keeper.

Brighton need to know what league they’re in next season before doing anything!

Always seems to be one of those clubs that everyone can’t get enough of when they win a game, because they have essentially signed a load of randoms (data driven), yet when they lose…not a peep. And they’ve been proper shite recently.

Personally, I'd love Rushy to stay. Look at that great assist to Wright last Saturday. That was great vision and thinking!
