No idea, only a few weeks ago Robins was saying his qualities were more aligned with what he wants in his strikers.
Its a good job the 2nd two can be trained into a Striker, we did it with Vik and who better to learn from than MR and even Haji Wright. Its a shame Godders isnt here still he could have been a massive helpRobins likes his strikers to have a high work rate, press high and have a good technical grounding in terms of movement and finishing ability.
Problem with BTA is that he only really has the first two.
Godden was awful last season slower than a mobility scooter .Its a good job the 2nd two can be trained into a Striker, we did it with Vik and who better to learn from than MR and even Haji Wright. Its a shame Godders isnt here still he could have been a massive help
Always worked incredibly hard and is a better finisher than asante .Godden was awful last season slower than a mobility scooter .
You surely cant question his positioning and finishing, just because he has all the pace of a broken down 1 wheeled mobility scooter doesnt mean his other attributes are shit he knows where the net isGodden was awful last season slower than a mobility scooter .
He scored just 1 league goal in last 28 appearances for us last season. His legs were gone and he couldn't get in the right positions at the right time at this level. He would currently be 5th choice. You surely cant question his positioning and finishing, just because he has all the pace of a broken down 1 wheeled mobility scooter doesnt mean his other attributes are shit he knows where the net is
Yes because his legs have gone Im on about his pure ability to strike a ball and his positioning, would have been useful to train into Asante thats all Im sayingHe scored just 1 league goal in last 28 appearances for us last season. Wasn’t Robins after him for years?Another doug bling masterclass, giving up 5% of viks sell on clause for us to sign a striker we didn’t need, he’s such a fucking clown
Just the way we signed him wasn’t right, I wouldn’t have gave up any of viks sell on %Wasn’t Robins after him for years?
I thought that was Sportings choice to make? I’m pretty sure there was a caveat in the contract saying they could buy out half the sell on % for so many million. They released the details of the deal when we sold him and it was mentioned on here it was a strange caveat but basically meant we either got a big sell on or big bonuses but not both.Just the way we signed him wasn’t right, I wouldn’t have gave up any of viks sell on %
Fair enough I didn't realise you meant in a coaching / mentoring capacity.Yes because his legs have gone Im on about his pure ability to strike a ball and his positioning, would have been useful to train into Asante thats all Im saying
Dasilva is an excellent footballer. May not be a great defender but one of the best technically on the ball we have.
Great at turning backJust leaving it out there
The last bit is actually true; he's actually very good at the art of controlling a football with your feet.Just leaving it out there
I hope that somehow BTA is one we can get rid of very quickly. Rubbish again. Plenty of positives to draw from others. Bassette is everything BTA isn't.

He ran around a lot, and given some of fans think Simms and Wright are lazy, they overrated BTA straight away. The weird thing is he started OK and has got progressively worse to the point where he genuinely doesn't even look like a footballer.
Don't know how he missed that chance to score when he completely messed up the header. He ran around a lot, and given some of fans think Simms and Wright are lazy, they overrated BTA straight away.
Perhaps Hull might come back for him.Strange signing
BTA has more goals…I hope that somehow BTA is one we can get rid of very quickly. Rubbish again. Plenty of positives to draw from others. Bassette is everything BTA isn't.
They both have 1 league goal, Bassette has played 250 minutes, and BTA around 700 minutes in the league.BTA has more goals…
Simms is our best striker after Wright. BTA is struggling in our system, we’re still too slow in build up and struggling to create chances in the box. That all said, he had one golden opportunity and totally fluffed it.
Enjoyed Bassette playing today and think he has a big future with us, he’s still a bit raw.
Let’s not forget that BTA has 2 in the league cup. They both have 1 league goal, Bassette has played 250 minutes, and BTA around 700 minutes in the league.
I've not forgot, just comparing like for like. BTA has rarely looked like scoring in the league and his goal it I remember rightly was heavily deflected. Even at WBA he was only a 1 in 4 striker.Let’s not forget that BTA has 2 in the league cup.
I’m happy with a 1 in 4 striker to be 3rd choice. I’m just pointing out that for all the stick our strikers get compared to the relative praise Bassette gets… Bassette is still our lowest scoring striker.I've not forgot, just comparing like for like. BTA has rarely looked like scoring in the league and his goal it I remember rightly was heavily deflected. Even at WBA he was only a 1 in 4 striker.
