Let’s hear all of your opinions on the loans and signings we made this season and how they preformed and who you would have back.

mcnally5 months of pure solid ness -2 games, would buy him in a heartbeat.

Doyle, i loved the kid grew from strength to strength, solid at the back and going to be some solid player in the future, also can’t get over how big he is for a kid.

panzo, just mentioning his name gives me nightmares no thanks

BNC, improved lots but still not good enough in my eyes, lack of pace determination to track back jogging most the time.

JWE, didn’t see him but I guess he sucked since he didn’t play

Maguire, same as JWE I don’t really see him play so I guess he wasn’t rated in robins eyes.

palmer, very tidy player on the ball not much off it, with whole preseason we might see him at his best next season.

Out of the loans McNally and Doyle I would love back.

Doyle will be an England International One day. Playing a full season of Championship football at 18/19 years of age. I think it's underestimated how difficult that is.

For a comparison, he the same age as Ryan Howley (who i am not knocking) who is considered our finest prospect. I think even Doyle's athleticism and build for his age really will stand him in good stead. Expect him to go to a lower Premier team next year (Burnley/Luton/Forest) before kicking in following that

I think Doyle will go abroad for another loan, not sure they’ll see the benefit of another year in the champ. 100% would try to sign McNally

I quite liked BNC, would like him more if he could cross a ball. Would take him back, he improved loads the more he played

Mcnally - Exactly what we needed, solid defender. Imagine having him for a whole season.

Doyle - Similar to the above.

Panzo - started to well, but unfortunately went the opposite way to the above and seemed to struggle after a decent start.

BNC - The most improved player for me, his play doesnt always look pretty on the eye but he seemed to get past his man more often than not and has consistently got better with each game.

JWE - He had spells where he made some great runs, hard to say as i think he really needs more minutes to get going.

Maguire - Nothing to go on here, assumption is that hes not at it due to minutes.

Palmer - Started to really get going before his injury, was a shame to lose him, hope he comes back stronger with O'Hare next season.

Would definitely take BNC but only permanently, think he will develop into a top player and not just at RWB but only if Arsenal will sell.

Doyle - class, got a very bright future. Would have him back. Captain material.
McNally - same as above. Class, solid, reads game well, comfortable running with ball.
BNC - I like him. There’s a reason he plays for England under 20s. Took a while to adapt but again Id have him back. Love how he runs at players, tries to twist them up.
JWE - would have liked to see more of him, the game he started towards end of season (Watford?) I think he looked quality on the ball. I’d be prepared to try for him again see what he could do over a season.
Panzo - has a mistake in him. Otherwise I think he did ok for us - good on ball, confident, his height a major plus. Not too concerned with him going back, although he is still only young too.
Maguire - only saw him for a few minutes in a home game - looked ok I thought - surprised he wasn’t given more time, but he won’t have earned another contract. I think he was possibly brought in to gee up the other strikers into getting fit (godden and Walker)
Palmer - he’ll be a key player for us going forward. Once he got fit I thought he was excellent in spells. Loves a tackle, maybe too many flicks and stuff when simple would work better. Showed what he can do on Saturday for his gamble cameo, despite the wild shot.

Doyle & McNally both superb. I think we'll get McNally on a permanent, and I am sure MR may try and get Doyle for another loan.

Panzo - I liked him. He had a few dodgy games after the World Cup though (Wrexham & WBA away) and lost his place. Think he's been treated a bit harshly by fans. If we can purchase on a permanent I would be happy with that.

BNC - Much improved. He won't play for Arsenal next season and clearly needs games to develop. A cheeky bid perhaps?

JWE - Rumours suggest he will be here on a 12 month loan next season. He looked great going forward at times, and would make a good alternative to the more defensive Bidwell. However, I would expect Dasilva to come in and Bidwell to move on in the summer.

McGuire - Looked alright in the few minutes he got, but clearly Robins didn't think he was good enough.

Palmer is our player!!

I heard a little rumour of Sam McCallum coming back, do hard up Norwich still owe us money on him ? He’d do for me.

Norwich made a £20m loss in their last Premier League season and have £66m in loans against future income to service - they're not exactly flush with cash and are going to have issues if they don't go back up next season.

The fact they've signed Ashley Barnes tells me they're not going to be overly ambitious

McNally - 8/10 - very assured defensively, not brilliant on the ball but just about good enough. Would have him back next season.

Doyle - 7/10 - may seem harsh but it was a season of two halves for him. Looked rather shaky early on in the season but ended looking very impressive. Very high ceiling as a player if that’s his development curve.

Panzo - 5/10 - almost the reverse of Doyle. Looked good in the early stages of the season but form seemed to fall off a cliff over winter. Lost his place in the side and never really had a look in after Fadz returned from injury.

BNC - 6/10 - started slowly, by the end could see a player in there and kind of wish he’d been here for the full season instead. Another I wouldn’t mind seeing come back. A permanent signing might be a tad fanciful but not impossible as he doesn’t look anywhere near ready for PL.

JWE - 4/10 - looked ok in parts but barely got a game. In loan terms, not good as you have to make an impact on the first team, otherwise it’s essentially a wasted spot.

Maguire - 3/10 - not his fault but, given his lack of game time, you may as well have had me on the bench making up the numbers.

Palmer - 6/10 - I really like him but his impact wasn’t as great as I’d have hoped for. Now he’s getting back up to speed and is used to wearing football boots again (hopefully no more blisters!) I think he can improve with a full pre-season.

McNally & Doyle - excellent, would sign both in a heartbeat
BNC & Panzo - on the whole very, very average - neither as good as I expected from the noise surrounding them, although BNC has got better as the games have ticked by
JWE - average to poor - not really had much chance to have an impact on game day
Maguire - poor, based solely on him rarely being used - was just a warm body to fill a hole on the bench

Palmer is a tricky one. I really like him, and think he's been good, but worry that he flatters to deceive. With a full pre-season at a decent fitness level, I'm hopeful he'll prove to have been a great acquisition, but I'm on the fence with this one atm.

I'd definitely take Doyle and NcNally,
BNC has improved enough to take a punt on, so I'd take him too if the price was right.

Panzo is a strange one, there's a player there, but he's struggled at times, but might be worth persevering with, he has the physical attributes, so a pre season might bring him up to speed, and I can't see Forest needing him now they've survived in the Premier league.

JWE showed glimpses of promise, but I think we can do better.

McGuire 🤣🤣🤣

Palmer, keep, but needs to prove his fitness and I think there's more to come from him than what we've seen so far.

They have eight players each on contracts of over £30k a week plus what the test are on.

rupert you said Burnley were going bust last season and would really struggle
