We will finish above them. Of this I am sure. What are the odds on that?

12 point margin but still have to play them and if we keep winning games at the current rate (6/7) we’ll be on 81 points

If we play Shef Utd in the playoff final and Hamer scores the winner do we still clap him at a corner
Asking for a friend ?

Their forum is in meltdown. Some even talking about them dropping out the top six and they have a whole thread just on us about being their bogey team

Playing football in their heads rent free, if only that was a ground we could play at we’d lose a lot less money every year

Very fragile fanbase. Class in numbers but their support is shite.

(By the way, I don't actually hate Sunderland, so not said this in malice)

I’d fancy us against Sheff U over 2 legs

I agree, especially if we're away first. I also think we'd beat Burnley at Wembley.

Reading this forum anyone would think we’d been whipping boys at the start of the season. Things weren’t clicking, but there were loads of reasons - recruitment falling short on numbers in the summer, Sheaf out, having to play an unfit Torp after he missed pre-season, Kitching on the naughty step(?), new players (Dovin, EMC, Rudoni) still finding their feet, Simms and Sakamoto slow to get going, some bad luck in front of goal, seemingly conceding after EVERY defensive error etc. etc.).

15th in the table going into the New Year was deceptive IMO. We hadn’t been great but we were competitive in almost all the games, the squad was never League One standard, we weren’t in danger of relegation, the players didn’t all hate each other etc. etc. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was reading the regular meltdowns on here with disbelief.

On the flip side, we aren’t world-beaters now. It’s probably as good a group of players we’ve had since dropping out of the Prem, and Lampard and his team have been guiding them really well. We’ve shown character to pick up a huge amount of points lately, making up for the earlier results, and I think we are now in about the position we should be taking the season as a whole.

Long may the run continue, because if it does it’ll be Wembley again.

Shit atmosphere, even worse performance. The club is an absolute mess from top to bottom, we’ve got no chance of automatic promotion and even when we play in the playoffs we will get thrashed by Burnley or even Coventry. Then our best players will leave and we will be back at square one next season, just end the season now. Our club is finished

Ahh yes, well if we could win away at Boro there's no reason why we couldn't at Sheff Utd.

It's becoming obvious now that we do have a top 6 squad. Forecasts now for 6th is 68 points. So another 20 points should give us a good chance. No guarantees but looking at our remaining fixtures, 20 points is well into possible territory.

A massive nod to the coaching staff he brought in aswell.

City look well drilled and very well coached.

Also Frank picking formations and strategies based on other teams weaknesses-which (apart from Leeds) is very different from under Robins.

Going to be interesting if the coaching staff can get Wright, Simms and Mason- Clark playing in a front 3.

Remaining 12 games we need at least 6 wins and a few draws and we’ll do it.

Apparently we’re 1 point up on 2 seasons ago and finished with 5 wins and 6 draws.

But 1 point less than last season with the same amount of games played and we know what happened after that, don't think it'll happen this time, well here's hoping.
