Isn't life good sometimes ,we will never have to see Webster in our famous shirt ever again.

Agree with the decisions made in the main. Still to be convinced that Stokes has what it takes at this level, but happy for him to play second fiddle if we bring someone in, don't imagine he'll be on much money and opportunity to get Haynes some experience in League Two.

Reda's contract is clearly going to be on some different terms to this season, as like Willis he had the option to extend but we've obviously (rightly) chosen to negotiate.

Nouble, Webster, Jackson, Pugh and Barton I assume were on decent money (along with what we were paying for Proschwitz, Ward, Pennington & Odelusi) so great opportunity to get some new blood in TM's mould in.

I knew Mowbray would find out about Nouble's post-Crawley rap.

Arsenal have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Callum Wilson*Wink Wink* We have a good rapport with Arsenal*Wink Wink* possibilities of a loan signing for next season

If Chelsea or Arsenal sign Wilson I'll eat Paddy Ashdown's hat.

Stokes has improved since joining and is a squad player he thinks he can develop. Just as important Stokes has obviously shown he wants to learn and develop as a player.....where as Nouble has probably shown the wrong attitude, very immature with a big ego and lots of footballing faults.

Agree with everything you say about Stokes and he is worth a contract.

Pleased Stokes didn't get forgotten. Considering the step-up I think he coped admirably.

Agree with most of the comments on here and the list of players released/culled. I would of perhaps added to that list and released Tudgay, on the basis that he's not a 20 goal a season striker like Mowbray says he wants and that 3k a week could be spent better elsewhere.

Ps. where the hell have the media got this silly new term 'retained list' from? Sounds really naff and really Americanised.

Haven't read through this thread but he has got it spot on IMO!

More than happy with the ones that have gone and more than happy with the ones he wants to keep. I've given Tudgay stick but TM seems happy to trust him so that's good enough for me!

We use terms like this where I work. It is a very usual term.

Saying that I do work for an American company

With a number of potential roster additions on free agency, this proves to be a super off-season for transactions on the waiver wire.

Let's not let the grass grow on this one, we need to get the ball rolling and sign players that give 110%!

Please let's not use crappy business jargon to talk about football

Good list that. Questions about Tudgay and Johnson in terms of how much they'll play for the money, but without them we'd have no experience in the dressing room apart from what we bring in, and in terms of personality that's always a crap shoot.

It's all going a little too well at the moment. Anyone got a quote from Fisher to rein in my optimism a bit?

Agreed we need to think outside the box when it comes to message and strategize a way forward.

Oh there's a report on it, therefore it must be true. I can say with confidence that neither Arsenal or Chelsea are going to sign Wilson, he simply isn't good enough for that level of football.

I've simply passed on information totally available to everyone and passed an opinion on the report. My post was tongue in cheek, as I'm sure every poster on here would agree....That is except you two....What was it NICK said yesterday....Read the post and take in the context it was meant.

I'm just really conscious that we have to make sure that we are really intentional with our actions, especially when making choiceful decisions and builds on the time-sensitive issues with our club.

an extract from his Liverpool game report: http://www.joe.co.uk/sport/soccer-guy-stevie-gee-says-so-long-to-mercyside/4174

[h=3]Before making the step up to MLS, Stevie Gee played soccer one last time in Mercyside this weekend.[/h]Real soon, the one-franchise guy will join his second franchise, LA Galaxy, quitting Liver Pool and ending a career in the EPL League that has played out like a Hollywood movie.
But unfortunately for Gee and all Liver Pool's soccer fans, the ending of this movie was sadder than Marley and Me as the Eagles swooped into town.

It looked pretty good early on for the home guys. Adam Lalaland opened up a can of awesome to stain the score sheets, and it seemed that Gee and his buddies were heading to the victory points.
But that was as good as it got.
Right before heading for the locker rooms, a felony kick was awarded just outside the Liver Pool danger box zone. With a left cleat like a July 4th firework, Ji-Sung Puncheon guided the soccer ball right into the ball bag to make the equalization.
