Back on planet earth this will of course not happen but if it had from the start and it proved legistucally impossible to hold the games with general disturbance issues it may have had a more positive effect than the doomed NOPM campaign.

I personally think that NOPM is working - or at least the fact that for whatever reason the fans are staying away. In this way the
fans are doing as much as they can. SISU were never going to just roll over and die after a few months but I am sure they were
shocked at just how many fans have stayed away and for how long so far. Their investors must surely be unhappy about that.

I also think that drawing attention to the way SISU threatens everyone when things like the Guardian article are referenced is also useful.
SISU's reaction shows that they are sensitive to this and it must be pushed to the max - and reading articles on this forum shows that
is exactly what is happening (people linking the article on here and on twitter etc), the more bad publicity for SISU the better.

The only thing that worries me is the judicial review, SISU are good at taking people to court and one way or another getting people on their
side.

But I honestly believe if the fans stay away and the council stand firm then eventually SISU will go away.

This could be done immediately if everyone would agree to supporting another team at the Ricoh, but there is a split on this amongst the fans
so at the moment that would never work. We would end up with two teams and a split fanbase which would be no use at all.

I'm afraid we need to be patient but keep up the pressure (stay away) and see what happens.

Good post Grendel.

My take on it would be this:
1 Northants police would eat it, especially with assistance from West Mids, so it wouldn't cause much disruption. They cope with bigger crowds at the rugby.

2 SISU would pocket the money and be laughing.

3 The media would think we have given in.

It's good to see people putting ideas forward. Rather than just knock it, I have tried to give constructive reasons why it wouldn't work.

Why I think we should stick with boycotting Sixfields.

1. The media and some other fans have recognised the campaign.
2. It may not starve SISU out but any loss of revenue will annoy them.
3. The message is, we are serious and won't give up. But this needs to be contrasted with large away followings to show support is there and not just apathy.

Remember we may have different opinions but what bonds us is we are all Sky Blue Army!
You may not respect the person, but at least respect the scarf! ( general comment and not directed at Grendel).

Your main argument has merit, it seems no amount of pressure that we put on SISU are going to effect SISU in the slightest. They will just keep plodding along on with their plan regardless of what we say or do.

Pressure has to be put on other parties to end this fiasco like ACL, Northampton, Football league.

The boycott has only just started, it will take as long as it takes , there is no bottomless pit of money for sisu , there will be another ccfc basket case project along soon and they will scale the losses down at ccfc as they ramp them up on the new project, when a better gamble comes along they will move onto it , just keep united

How many times does it have to be said, the fans, (which includes me), won't go to Sixfields.

Now if we have a bigger event in Coventry every other week, that is news & will certainly effect SISU.

NOPM will & I'm sure is working. We will not see the results of this for a while, it may take 2 or more seasons. Its the consequences I fear, we may tumble down the leagues and may even into the conference as a result of the FFP rules & poor attendances but like others I cannot set foot in sixfields. Would they go as far as liquidation, only time will tell

The way I feel at the moment is that I would take liquidation if we are still at Sixfields at the end of the season.
Get rid of Sisu, start at the bottom, wherever that is, get back to the Ricoh and build again.

League 2 on -20 is my guess if Joy did go all spiteful.

NOPM not working? How long did you expect for it to take? One week? Two?

NOPM is a long term strategy. It is a bleed them dry strategy. This takes time. Considering the desperate tactics sisu are now employing I am staggered you consider NOPM failing! If anything it is working faster than I could have imagined - and it isn't even fully supported!

You have to be extremely naive, or Wummin to even suggest otherwise!

But hey this WAS from the troll Grendel!

The FL would have no choice but to kick us out the league, we'd then have to hope that the FA are sympathetic. My guess would be the league below the conference.

Other than us cov fans, no one would bat an eyelid if the FL kicked us out. In fact the FL are likely face challenge from the the other 47 league one/two clubs for not kicking us out.

That is because they have a different motivation to what the fans want. We want the club back in Coventry...they want the Ricoh ownership as near to free of charge as possible.

Not read all the thread but you are asking 7/8000 people to go to sixfields, surely it would be easier to get 1000 people to stop going to sixfields

The club will be here for another 130 years. SISU won't be. I hated Richardson but I'd still rather have had him in charge than no club.

Get back to the Ricoh does not mean start back there. But if we drop to the conference, if we are Coventry City, if we are winning then I guess 5000 fans would be enough to open the doors.

Surely you can see this is only going one way ?

Massive debts in 5 years will see SISU wind us up anyway.
Keep opposing them and they will do it for spite. If you think they care about any fans, including you, you are wrong.
If they don't get the Ricoh they will move on like travellers leaving Hearsall Common.

They have done that because they want the Ricoh empty.

If you are not happy with this decision the best thing to do is tell them by not attending Northampton.

If SISU had the choice you would be there as the financial hit of them trying to keep the Ricoh empty will be more for them by you not attending.

One thing that will not help for a certainty would be attending.

Whilst not attending has a chance of helping and us an unknown quantity

If this AFC Coventry did ever get off the ground, the attendances that people talk about its more realistic than The Butts with 2 other teams there already.

What's the evidence NOPM is working? SISU just turned down a better deal than ever to play at the Ricoh and turned down transfer fees for players in the summer (after the attendances became evident) Do you not think they'll have been prepared to take worst case scenario losses before moving out? Haven't seen a shred of evidence NOPM is working although I expect to get called names for suggesting on here
