CCFC paid rent to ACL. Wasps own ACL (and hence the lease) so they don't pay rent to anybody do they? Obviously they have the running costs of the stadium which are considerable, or am I misunderstanding this completely?

They have to fund their finance on the debt they raised through bonds to pay off the loan ect.
However they will just refinance that again. I would be stunned if they are not planning for a life without CCFC. If they don’t get an improved rent or the legal action gets dropped.

Wasps have the retail bond interest of £2.2m interest to pay every year until it matures in 2022. They will then have to pay back the £35m from further borrowing which will no doubt come with interest.

Can they afford the intrest rate on a refinanced loan as I am led to believe the rate virtually doubles the current rate!

I see the SKY Blue Trust have now written to all local MP's asking for some clarification on current situation re mediation, are we going to have a home next season?
Previously I was not worried, expected another short term deal at the Ricoh, but not I'm getting concerned.
Has anyone heared any news ?

At the most recent court appearance, the judge insisted that all parties head off for mediation. As far as I know, there have been no media reports of this taking place (anybody know differently? If so, please do correct me) so perhaps no news is bad news.

I suspect the judge had little option in suggesting mediation, but fully expects it not to work and for the process to bumble along until the inevitable next hearing. Sisu's only way out now si to break Wasps via legal action and get compo running into the millions from the council; for that reason alone, mediation is no good to them as, by very definition, a negotiated settlement agreed on all sides will not be the one-sided, epmhatic victory that Sisu want and need.

I was hoping that Dave Boddy would be able, Waggott-style, to take charge and let TF and Joy hide in the background whilst sorting out an acceptable deal for a Ricoh extension, but I really wouldn't blame Wasps if they use the threat of non-extension of our lease to force a permanent end to the legals. That's what I'd do in their situation. OK Sisu might call their bluff and they're left without a tenant, but they have to weigh the odds and figure out how likely that is. I suspect provided they put an attractive deal on the table to Sisu on condition of calling off the legals, that might do it........let's hope so anyway.

The fact that the so called imminent news never transpired is now becoming a concern. There’s been a glitch somewhere.

If ever there was the ideal time to rearrange the seating then, let them know how we like the idea!

That would make media attention, 7833 seats on the pitch.

* just joking, please do not try this at our new home kids, play safe.

At least the trains to Coventry run more frequently than they do from the Arena!

Next week then?

Judge Flaux suggested the parties should provide a list of three mediators. He said if they can’t agree the court will decide for them.

He added that the target for mediation to be concluded should be around March 28, 2018.

He’s suggested a mediator should be appointed by February 2, 2018.

Been on about this for the last 2 years. It’s way beyond time we the supporters ramp this issue up on all the platforms possible here, radio, Telegraph even at home games. And the big question to the EFL especially what what happens if there’s no agreement and when

TBF to the trust they’ve been keeping the pressure up all season writing to all the interested parties monthly. To the usual groans on here it has to be said but as is usual they’ve been proven right to have been doing this all season because not unexpectedly self imposed deadlines from those in charge have been and gone. It’s supposed to be there waiting to be signed so god knows what the hold up is.

Yep deffo chase the EFL . They allowed the move to Northampton and used one of their reasons as the new league fixtures had been done ! So this definitely needs to be resolved before June! Still do not understand why the League cannot threaten to take away the golden share over this. There is seemingly no "rule" that says they cannot so it could be sold off to the highest bidder . Then Sisu could sue the football league :happy:

Not massively bothered by the delay. We'll be at the Ricoh next season and I'll get my willy out on webcam for non-subscribers this time if we don't.

I think a lot said that prior to the Northampton move expecting an eleventh hour reprieve, didn’t happen did it. Now this issue has been raised by local MPs the local media atleast should be over this like a rash constantly until there is an answer, I am beginning to wonder if parties are using it as the straw to break the camel’s (sisu) back.

Long held this belief, ever since we saw Hoffman et al meeting with the Wasps hierarchy toward the end of last summer. The fact it’s dragging out this long can’t be by chance.

It's like the sixth hour now though. Not bothered until the evenings are bright and we're still left wondering

Does anyone know when our accounts have to be in? Surely unless we have a confirmed place to play (ie a place of business) the auditors cannot sign off the accounts? Could this bring matters to a head or will we simply delay filing accounts?

As for this mediation - what exact;y are they mediating about? Is it where club will play next season - court case wasn't about that so not relevant. Are judges simply saying to Wasps/CCC please give this obsessed woman some money so she goes away and stops clogging up the judicial system? If so cannot see mediation achieving anything as neither side is going to offer the other a penny. So its really a pointless paper exercise to make it appear that the courts are doing something constructive.

I don't know, I can certainly see their point but it assumes that staying at the Ricoh is completely within SISU's gift doesn't it?

That said, public negotations and statements from SISU are usually ridiculed anyway, lets hope no news news is good news. Remember that they kept the return to the Ricoh under wraps completely.
