This is sisu.

Every chance we could be going into the summer and still don’t know where we are playing next season.

That’s said, a delay may help, as if we are in league two next season, Nuneaton might become a realistic possibility

You are quite right, just because the fans want the situation clarified it doesn't mean they will be in any hurry to do so.

just seems strange, for a club which generates so little good news you'd think when they get some they'd want to tell the world. You're probably right, it's contractual, something like that.

Whilst a 10 year would suit the EFL and I would think Wasps, if they need the income, I am not at all sure it fits in with what we know of SISU - ie short term planning designed not to give any financial benefit to their adversaries in court. I will believe it when I see it and I do not expect it any time before Xmas, even before sometime in February - SISU always push it to the last moment

Is Boddy the man making the decision or is he doing as he is told? Is he even involved in the negotiations?

If a deal has been done that takes away an element of this mediation of all matters ordered by the courts doesn't it? Leaves wasps only involved in mediation of the compensation from Wasps due to SISU - which I would think would be a very short conversation. That it forms part of mediation tends to make me doubt a deal on the rent is imminent

Indeed, Wasps wouldn't take away their biggest bargaining chip would they? Or,would they and call SISU's bluff on the strength of the JR case?

The parties involved are supposed to appoint a mediator by 2nd Feb so they must surely submit proposals for a mediator before that. Any news?

Nothing to do with bullshit, just facing reality. 6 months to the end of the season and still nowhere to play next season. We are fast reaching tipping point, thankfully there are still those in the wings prepared to move in and takeover yet they get slated on here by some. I would hope this website and its leaders become a lot more proactive re. this issue, let’s not just expect Wasps to cuddle in and roll over they might, hope they do.

Somebody to try and push made up stories in as many threads as they can? It is very much to do with bullshit, the same as all of the other accounts that popup every so often when something needs to be pushed. It is very much to do with bullshit, as it is usually a good indicator of whether anything is going on behind the scenes or not.

"Those in the wings" would be in exactly the same position.

They would be stupid enough to make another choice.
Remember this decision isn’t necessarily about what I’d best for the future of CCFC.
As we have seen in most of the decisions of the past unfortunately

no offence Nick, as you may have noted I quite like it here, but I have to ask, its not exactly a great strategy by whoever it is to think the most effective way of pushing an agenda of any type is to keep putting it on here.

those of us who are left supporting CCFC are clearly hardy folk (or crazy), so I don't think their chances of getting through are that great

Also it doesn’t sound that nuts that Rupert is pointing out that if Wasps crank the price up or demand money up front ( don’t forget SISU attempted to destroy them as a business). That SISU couldn’t agree to it and we are on our way again.
Why is that a bullshit thing for him to suggest.
I wouldn’t put it past Wasps we are contributing very little to them and causing them maximum grief. I would be surprised if they are not thinking right to put up with the grief it’s got to be worth our whole and they treble the rent.
Why do you think that sort of possibility is bullshit

Lol....we have been consistently at tipping point since SISU took over and in the 10 years since they and just before they did.

But strangely enough i completely disagree with you that we are at more so at tipping point now. If anything i think we are no less stable now than at any other point in last 10 years.

Im not fretting over the stadium issue. It will be resolved sooner or later. Focus your energies on watching supporting and watching the product on the pitch. As you and i have zero influence on anything else.

Until something is agreed we are at tipping point, as many I hope and suspect there will be an 11th hour result, but then I and many others thought that way pre- Nothampton but it happened.

i'm not and didn't say it didn't. In the same way as people say Willis wont be missed, or that Baker would be a great addition etc, I, like everyone else on here can make up their own minds.

Maybe worth looking into a "agenda" emoji, we can all use it then

I think as much as we're a pain in the backside to them, we're also important to them.

A venue with two tenants is more attractive than one, in terms of things like sponsorship etc.

I would normally agree but I think the way our club is run puts people off rather than draws sponsors in. Sponsors of the kind of magnitude I imagine they hope to attract.
It wouldn’t shock me if they are planning for a life without CCFC.
The thing that scares about that is that our owners may be stupid enough to think if they are elsewhere Wasps will go bust then they can come back in and swoop.
Whilst all that plays out we end up playing elsewhere trying to break even and at best avoid relegation to non league.

Wherever they can desperately get.
For the least money and by getting the FA to agree to.
However if the club pays for itself and there are only crowds of 1000-2000. There will be only one place we will be ultimately heading.
If that happens.

^This. The only reason Wasps are still prepared to deal with Sisu is that there is no one else to share the stadium with them and our being there brings advantages in terms of advertising, sponsorship, whatever we pay in rent however small that may be etc etc. It's not as if they can magic out of thin air another sports team who bring in at least a few thousand fans every week.

I think that if CCFC struggled to pay 1.25 million a year rent when we had gates of 17/19k don't you think WASPS will be seeing the same effect as they are trying to honour there payments on the money they borrowed?

I think that is a possibility and they may in the past have considered CCFC as a part of possible solution to that issue.
I think now they are probably starting to think that CCFC are a bigger hindrance to it than a help and are probably looking at ways to make life work without us including refinancing. They will know by now that CCFC just want to sit there paying next to nothing watching and hoping. Also if possible applying additional pressure.

CCFC paid rent to ACL. Wasps own ACL (and hence the lease) so they don't pay rent to anybody do they? Obviously they have the running costs of the stadium which are considerable, or am I misunderstanding this completely?
