Was browsing old vids of the Stock cars at Brandon. Come across this.

Disgrace whats happened to Brandon. The memories im sure we all have of the city in the afternoon stox/speedway in the evening.

Looking at that its not even salvageable. A crying shame

I've only been four odd times, I was just starting to get into Speedway in the last few years before it closed. Perfect entertainment for a Friday night.

Aside from the issue of being "out of town", it would seem a pretty good site for a football stadium. (discussion probably been done many times before).

But would seem to be a place that needs refurb, and a nod to the sporting heritage of the city, seems as good a location as the UOW (or indeed the Ricoh)

Its prime land for a football ground tbf.

However surely that would cost a few million to even get up to scratch for speedway and stox again

Apparently someone has put an offer in to the owners but with the intention of returning back to racing. Someone linked to F1 stock cars apparently.
