“Nothing is happening from the council’s point of view. No further meetings are planned at the moment.

“I’ve had no feedback on where the Higgs charity and Sisu are with discussions.

“I notice the football club have again mentioned getting revenue from the Ricoh, but that’s not the answer. That would only be part of the answer.

“The football club’s owners need to consider how they are going to effectively answer the problems more than sharing the Ricoh.

“Sisu have got to come forward with a business plan to effectively get the club into a position of challenging to get back into the Championship.

“They’ve talked about some of the losses they have incurred. That must surely be because they got relegated in the first place. If they can get to the stage of having a successful football team which is there or thereabouts with promotion or the play-offs, the revenues will increase.

“It was inevitable that gates have dwindled because of the total lack of success that City supporters have endured since leaving the Premiership.

"It’s remarkable the core support has stayed as loyal as it has given so many false dawns. It’s little wonder many supporters are disillusioned and have stayed away.
“The support is still there. It’s up to the owners to tap into the reservoir of support and get people up there to games. They won’t do that by continuing with firesales of players.”

ACL, The Charity and Council have been consistent all along in their view as expressed by Councillor Duggins. It isnt new other than to confirm no meeting planned but that could easily change

In meetings and negotiations like this there is always points of disagreement and areas that need to be thought about again and time out called to make further considerations and let the dust of what's said settle. Then they will get called back in and try and finalise the obvious that they should have done probably at the beginning of talks in the first place!

The reality is that SISU are probably thinking do, don't we? After cooling off a couple of weeks they will soon realise they have no other option unless they pull the plug! I expect a deal to be done though not before they bring the rent up to date forthwith.

Is George Duggins keeping the cov fans better informed than the club could ever do.

You're right Paxman they have to do something but I don't think a deal is likely any time soon.. SISU will have to make further substantial cash injections into the club to get the council on-board never mind the rent... seriously can anyone see this??? I really can't

I have said before SISU are a busted flush and i believe it is just a case of when they throw their cards in. They can only haemorage money, can't earn any, raise any or invest any.

I am no fan of SISU but someone is pumping £6M to keep us playing football. There is no magic fairy Hoffman has no backers willing to stump up £50 Million needed to clear debt let alone buy the stadium at a fair market price from ACL and invest £10 Million to get us a decent playing team. There are cheaper better run options out there for wealthy backers! We are not alone just amongst the first to suffer the pain of mad football finance.

why would hoffman give them 1p and commit to taking over the debt, when he can sit back, laugh at the mess they are getting in, then come in when it all goes belly up and begin to build.

Is that on top of laughing at all the gullible fans who beleive he has a pot to piss in? He is a supposed supporter of the club so i hardly think he would be laughing at the mess we are in. Theres more chance of the godiva festival happening tonight than there is of Hoffman proving he has investors and saving the club.

Great really when SISU can keep making mistakes and the only one who pays is CCFC.

They do not have any real losses as they expect any new buyer to give them all their money back even though they are the cuase of the losses.

Wake up and get lost.

Right then... I built up a successful company on the basis that if my company attracted customers and the product was right, it would be successful. So Mr SISI Lesson 1. You need to attract customers. 2. Mr SISU, if your product is right, more customers will be attracted and will buy your product. 3. Mr SISU, Your first priority is to INVEST IN THE RIGHT PRODUCT. 4. Mr SISU, you need a professional marketing strategy to sell your product.
End of Lesson. My Invoice is in the post. Ooooops, sorry, you can't afford to pay it !
