I thought that ACL had already offered The Ricoh FOC for the forthcoming season?:thinking about:
Lets not be so negative about everything at least things are now begining to move forwards!
1. This is all happening because the rent was impossibly high
2. SISU were only one side of the negotiation - both sides were equally responsible for no deal being reached.
3. It was necessary to go to these lengths before ACL could accept that they did not have a devine right to keep CCFC at the Ricoh on the previously agreed rent, they have been in denial and thought CCFC would never do it.
4. If ACL want to avoid oblivion they will now move heaven and earth to get CCFC back at the Ricoh n a sensible agreement.
5. Just because an arrangement has been made with Northampton it does not not necessarily mean that arrangement cannot end I hope the deal will be flexible.
6. It is possible that a new deal could be brokered with ACL for the Ricoh at any time even before we ever play at Northampton.
7. We may have to actually start playing there but if we do, the choice of the way out will be down to he council, either
a. by negotiation of a revised deal to play at the Ricoh orSimple! the choice is yours
b. in the absence of such a deal by SISU being forced into building HR2

I'm sorry Greggo I usually give you time . But I didn't read beyond your title ,It smacks of appeasement and lets all stick together >
Nah I Was lost on the Strategy a couple of years ago and it was all their doing ,and incrementally others see the path to oblivion .
If we are Inconsequential then as they prove ,they will fund the Club through the future .It really is time for those who stand with them ,to prove It and cover the losses of us who step back ,.

1. The Northampton stadium is over 30 miles away.
2. We HAVE a stadium here in Coventry.
3. We are moving from a 32,000 capacity stadium to a 7,600 seater stadium. Absolute madness!!!!!
4. We will likely be playing outside our city for a minimum of 3 years.
5. The vast majority of City fans say they will NOT go. Therefore you have fans, lifelong fans, those who have been going up for 20, 30, 40 years or more, being deprived of watching their team play.
6. What happens if say the team do, do well? What happens if say the team do brilliantly and fans do then change their minds and want to go? The stupidity of all this is that if City had a massive game and fans are brought round to the notion of going up, we could be looking at a potential for a massive game of well over 20,000, yet will only be able to cater for a fraction of that.
Basically, if the team do really well and fans do come round, the club have shot themselves in the foot completely. It's almost as if the club are admitting that we are not going to do well and are all but planning for us not to do well.
7. A football club SHOULD play in its own city. End of.
8. If a new stadium is to be built it will be 3 years minimum and could be a lot, lot longer.
9. Have Sisu kept their promises before? Now all of a sudden they talk of 10 year plans and new stadiums etc.
10. The new stadium if built, will be owned by Sisu and rented to CCFC.
11. The new stadium looks certain to be a cheap, quick build, as there hasn't been the time to plan, design and think it all out properly. Most new stadiums are years and years in the planning. Sisu talk of anew stadium, designed, planned, built and running in 3 years. It's ridiculous.
Anyway, bottom line is, we are moving out of our city, from a perfectly good stadium, that holds 32,000, to a stadium over 30 miles away that only holds 7,600.
You couldn't make it up. It is nothing short of total madness! An utter nonsense.

Thanks for writing the post I wanted to. Absolutely agree with every point
Why can't you write?
another deluded soul who has been possessed by SISU enjoy your games in Northampton will be there longer then 3 years.
We can't afford the rent at the Ricoh with 10,000 paying fans but can at Northampton with 1000? doesn't make sense then again nothing they do or say makes sense.

This is utter and complete rubbish. If/when our club becomes a non-league non-entity or ceases existence, it will be in part because people like you spouted such total rubbish and continued on as though nothing had happened.
What has to happen before you will admit what is really going on here? Or is NLHWC right and you are indeed a SISU puppet? Hard to understand your attitude otherwise.
