I also remember that buying a bag of Monster Munch (bags were big in tyem days) was like buying a bag of coal*

*A source of fuel for our younger viewers. We didn't have central heating when i was a kid so the only warm room was the living room thanks to the open coal fire.

Sure someone has mentioned Spangles, Old English were my favourite flavour.

Toffos obviously, but not the banana ones cos a man's gotta chew what a man's gotta chew.

Mmm...don't remember that. Then again i didn't like chewy ( as we used to say). More sophisticated me. Hence the sweet cigarettes and tobacco.

Mmm...rings a bell. I used to love Banana Splits. I used to love the cartoons too. Those scientists who could reduce their size and the bloke who used to shout "size of an elephant" or whatever.

What about Wait Til Your Father Gets Home? Great theme tune too.

Absolutely. I remember at bed time. I used to run from the living room to the bathroom. Then into bed. Not always bad as in the winter we had some of those big round metal bed warmers. Lethal probably.

Going into the loxal super market to buy records. They had loads of them, mostly Hallmark and MFP records. They were £1.99 but the proper ones were £4.25 with doubles being a fiver. I remember swapping the price atickers around so I got Man Machine for £1.99. Did the same for Love Bites by the Buzzcocks and Great Rock n Roll Swindle double album for the same price. Brilliant.

I used to watch that. Such heartfelt, uplifting stories.
Usually the plot was some clean-cut kid saved the whole town from disaster or his pet dog did.

Those chewing gum packs with a mini mouse trap in.

Imagine the outrage if a kid gets tricked with one of them nowadays.

Paper porn.

I remember a few of us finding a dirty mag when we were about 10 and standing in the street looking at it until some woman came past and snatched it off us in disgust.

Then when I was older having a porn stash a mate had given me, or daring each other to go to the Esso and buy a porno. But ending up just settling for the underwear section of the Littlewoods catalogue.

Kids today don't know they're born.

Still remember the first computer with printer and printing out "boobs" from alta vista or something. Yeah ran out of paper so when the next bit of paper went in you can guess what came out.

I remember porn on dial up. Literally getting your pictures through line by line from the top as they loaded. Then downloading videos from bearshare or limewire and not knowing what you had until it finished a day later. Fuck me I saw some disturbing stuff that had been badly labelled.
