Crewe - Draw

Walsall - Win

Burton - Draw

Southend - Win

Unless my maths is terrible, I make that 8 points.

I think 4. Win at Crewe and draw at Southend. Not clinical enough ATM.

That's a salient point. This next month will show us if we have the gravy to get automatic..

Oh, I know that... Wasn't a criticism at all, Mowbray is considered and precise, was just saying were unlikely to have a few new players for these 4 games.

But it is a window where players can come in. He knows the time frame and will have his targets. But just because you have targets doesn't mean you are going to get them. Let's see what happens.

Hoping we strengthen by the Walsall game, we need to. There must be named in the frames just hope we don't wait until the last minute of the transfer window. After Crewe we have until the 12yj to get a couple in and get one or two of our squad 100% fit

Need a CB for Walsall and Burton games. Need a defence of people playing in position.

I feel confident that TM and MV will already have a defender in mind and already done some preliminary work on availability. Expect AA to come good. If he goes back he will want to do so on a high note, and if he stays its because he wants to.
Crewe W
Walsall W
Burton W
Southend D
Then we have 9 (on paper) easier games coming up before playing Peterborough A

Have to look for 2 wins & a draw from next 3 games so we dont loose touch with top.

10 points possible from next 4.

TM has said in the past the scouting database has not been in place to have enough knowledge on players in and around our level. Hence no rush in the market but he does seem to hand pick his targets rather than snap up the first offer.

Crewe W
Walsall D
Burton W
Southend L
7 pts is a minimum I'd like based on current squad, 12 is achievable on previous performances seen this season tho. What a platform that would put us on and put us in a stronger position for attracting players in January.

We can beat Walsall & Burton at home, don't forget we play better against teams that want to play football. We haven't suddenly become a worse team.

We'll get at least 4 points from the 2 home games. I can't really predict the away ones but we should be looking for 4 again.

But he hadn't been here long this pre-season. He didn't know how the squad was going to gel and pan out. Now he is in a position to know exactly what is needed.

Expect him to act a lot quicker this time round.

I think we are in with an excellent chance of points. We shouldn't at all be scared of Walsall.

They may have beaten Peterborough 2-0 on Monday, but the reports are that they scored 2 in the last 10 mins and it was very much against the run of play. Their first goal was a deflection too.

When we play them they will have had a game on the Saturday, where we won't have and besides, we owe them one for not turning up for the first game and that was the one Maddison was injured in.

I think we will very much be up for that game.

Southend away? I think we are well capable of getting at least a draw and as I keep saying, expect reinforcements sharpish as soon as the window opens.

I think TM said he needed game time in the U21's.

For away games could we consider Rose as well as Vincelot and Fleck? My understanding is he is a box to box player and neither Fleck or Vincelot are truly that.

Yeah he needs time in U21's, but that's not a bad idea.. Play him where though?

Need at least 8 points to stay in contention for the autos and put a bad December behind us. Time to get the hype train back on the tracks!

You could play sort of 433 with Rose and Fleck slightly ahead of Vincelot and Arma flanked by JOB and Murphy (for example)
