An Everton fan with Down's syndrome was apparently mocked by rival fans online.

Really nice of the Everton squad to invite him to training and to have his photo taken with the players.

Can never, ever get my head round anyone mocking someone with any kind of disability. Shame on them.

Thats brilliant, he's having a great time.

Anyone who thinks thats something to take the piss out of Everton about needs to take a look at themselves.

It's not just football fans, it's pervasive throughout society.
Anyone who is 'different' in any way is subject to abuse and ridicule.
If you are short, tall, fat, bald, quiet, look or act different, you are fair game to some people.

So if you're a short, fat, bald, quiet bloke you've got no chance.

The thing is with football fans is that there is a pack mentality and that's why I mentioned it.

I think it's alright if you give say homophobic people a load of verbal abuse if you're in a large group. That's absolutely fine, cos you feel safe in a group and shielded.
