Was he injured? Strange how he took him off as he was starting to get the better of our defence I thought.

I would be on the phone enquiring about him tbh lol.
Caused reda all sorts of issues and was their main and only threat tbh .

He did seem to be growing into the game. I thought taking lameiras off was an odd choice too. Especially with Murphy being so lazy when he came on.

Marcus Haber, he has been decent before playing against us! Real strange decision to take him off, I was worried we were going to lose as he was getting the edge.

If someone could teach Maddison how to curl the ball a little further he could have had about 10!!

He was definitely a handful - it is rare to see Johnson in genuine battles for balls in the air or beimg held off the ball as he was at times tonight.

Could be the target man/alternative option we are looking for up front.

Crewe are a selling club, so I am sure they are open to offers and I doubt the fee or his wages would be high.

This is of course assuming his performance today was not an anomaly.

the sort of player we are looking for to play in games like tonight where the opposition are happy to sit deep and let you play in front of them.

Looks like his contract's up at the end of the season. Would be worth a cheeky bid.

Scored about 1 in 6 in the league so far. Canadian international.

Was Haber the one who battered us for Stevenage up here in the first season in L1? (Game might also have been on sky)

Imagine that option coming off the bench as a plan B.

Sort of player we need!

Worth a cheeky bid?

Mowbray after a 6.2 striker and I thought Crewe's Marcus Haber fits that bill nicely.

Strong, quick ish & with a nice bit of skill.

Worth a cheeky bid?

Yes he was a real thorn in the side all night and pleased, if a bit surprised, when he was subbed as thought he was their best player. Strong and not easily laid off the ball, him and Reda had a few tussles. Would fit the bill for us nicely.

To be quite honest Nick! i wondered what was going on! unless he was carrying an injury. I thought he was the Pick of the Crewe team and would do a very good job in the Championship perhaps Crewe have had a bid in for him and just protecting him when their manager realised his team out there was'nt going to beat City.

We certainly need to sign a centre-forward, we need other options up front and once young Murphy settles in we will be getting to the bye line for crosses a lot
