Is today the first day since 16th May 1987 that the club has taken a significant leap forward? Certainly from since I have been supporting them (93-94 season) the club as a whole always seemed to decline further each season. For once we can finally say with certainty that this season the club will be in a better position than the last.

It gives me hope that there is a bright future.

Have to admit, amazed how much it's cheered me up! Thought I'd been ground into the dust but... been bouncing around all day.

Sure they'll let me down soon enough(!) but what the hell, let's buy into a bit of happiness for once!

Surely moving into the Ricoh first time was seen as a positive.

We cocked that up.

Late getting there, club on its knees, wasn't finished when we got there and only half open.

Sure it was great for some, but to me it was a chance missed and summed up how we coudn't do anything right.

That timely ninth anniversary writeup of the QPR match made it seem like the second coming of Jesus in sporting arena form.

I'm not saying the club is currently in great shape, just that without doubt the club is now in significantly better shape than last season because of this move back.

The first move to the Ricoh was a gamble, this one isn't.
