England always worry us. Capable of beating anyone, but also capable of losing to the likes of Iceland.

Well certainly not us I don't think, cos we have people on here who are happy when we lose.

Even better than that, we have the only Englishman in the country who'd prefer England to be in the tough side of the draw!

Never, ever said that and that is a ridiculous fantasy notion you have in that blinkered head of yours unfortunately. Not a single ounce of truth in that whatsoever. Zero.

At some point in time it might just sink in that I never, ever wish to see England lose and it really is that simple. It has never even entered my thought processing of who we play past the next game, one game at a time. I never even looked at 'the path' at all until people on here started talking about it being best for us to lose.

Have never said I wish we were in the tough side of the draw.

It really is very, very simple, but as you just don't seem to grasp the most basic of concepts, I think it is best we leave it there, eh.

Geez, talk about adding 2 and 2 and making 5!!

What if your daughter was a pro, decided to play for Russia and came up against England?

Does anyone else have the feeling this entire tournament is going to be decided on penalty shoot-outs?

Love the street scenes in Moscow and what a lot of beautiful women! A similar scene in Britain and there'd be plenty of tattooed rhino women waddling along taking up half the pavement.

Rhino women?

Never seen one of those before. Do they look a little bit like this?

I hope you got permission from your relative to post this.

The rhino reference was to do with size rather than protruberances.

So you’re ok to dish out a sarcastic comment with a nice little winky smiley thing but when you get an equally sarcastic response you don’t like it do you. Maybe I should have added the smiley.

Hey, nice backtracking though and pleased to see you’re beginning to finally see the light.

 (just for you)

Come on England!

Hopefully.

My betfair account will be bursting at the seems if this is the case.......I've backed all 16 teams to win on pens.......already quids in with Russia @ 18 & Croatia @ 12.

I can see 1 or 2 more going to shoot-outs in this round.....then I'll back the remaining 8 to win on pens in the QF's......

I've been doing this method of victory betting in every tournament since Betfair was invented & I've NEVER lost yet......cher-ching

Always thought the same with Tennis betting surely you can cover both players at best odds on different sites and never lose and make a profit?

The smiley, winky things are just to show that I am in good spirits and taking it all light-heartedly in regard to the thread and response.

Something I always do to show I am not annoyed or irked.

If I don't use them people think I am annoyed or irked.

Find the written word can so very easily be misconstrued.

No idea how kids these days function through social media only.

My daughter tells me that loads of her friends have fallen out over things someone has posted on Instagram or Snapchat.

My daughter has my sense of humour for the most part (God help her) and 4 of her best friends all fell out with her because she said to a friend online 'You are too black to be my friend.' Clearly a joke and the recipient of the joke thought it was funny and accepted it straight away and immediately as being a joke and was laughing about it. Deliberately ludicrous intention, but 4 other friends were annoyed on this girl's behalf and stopped talking to my daughter.

They are still not her friends now nearly two years on, though the recipient of the joke still is and very much so.

Winky things can be lifesavers, trust me.

Just as long as they're tight ! Anyway talking of nuts, surely Brazil are going to do the business today. Haven't laughed so much in ages at the shocks so far !!

I have a sneaky suspicion Mexico might just beat them. They certainly have the skill set to do so and have looked dangerous on the break.

Intriguing game I think. Brazil favourites for sure, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mexico won today.

Yep. She lives in Chernobyl. Also 10 miles away to the south too and a further 15 miles to the west, all at the same time.

She gets around quite a bit these days.

Mexican players have dyed their hair platinum blonde, Romania style, with the exception that the hairdresser has done a good job!

Brazil are without doubt the quality side in the tournament but Mexico will know all about them and have a right go at them. Could be a cracker.

I like this Mexico team. Honest, forward looking and and high tempo. They're not letting Brazil sit for a second.
