Russia are average, which says a lot about the two teams they've played doesn't it? Egypt should have scored at least one but other than that it's been poor for them.

Russia didn’t play any qualification games so lost loads of places in the rankings and the likes of Saudi Arabia and Panama overtook them and therefore were the lowest rank participating. They’re not that bad really, being home nation helps too ompus:

I thought Egypt would give them a closer game, especially with Salah starting. very disappointing. I still don't think Russia are that good, just the teams they've played so far have been even worse.
