We had more than enough chances to win it but couldn't muster a single shot on goal (apart from the free kick) in 125 minutes of play.
We'll never have a better chance of making the final.

Agree. A lot of average and below average performances. Lack of nous versus streetwise players. First 25mins great. Then Croatia bossed us. Defence comes away with some credit and the likes of Foden to come!

Yep, agree.

First good team we came up against (forget Belgium, that was reserves v reserves) and we lose.

We were very much second best in the end and I know Southgate has had a lot of praise, but he got it wrong today.

Kane was too deep, Rose for Young should have been earlier and we needed to not play so deep as a unit in the second half. We let them dictate play and push us back and we let Modric play without anyone within 5-10 yards of him.

Too many times we were in good positions only to then take the ball all the way backwards and pass back to Pickford.

Very disappointing, because we threw the game.
