They finish the game just in time for the anthems in our matchup in the final.

French will rue missing those chances, Belgium will come out stronger in the second half

This game really needs a goal and it could become a classic.

Take that back, there's nothing to choose between these two.

Still think Belgium might edge it.

Funny, my view was the opposite! I figured that a game v Belgium would be like a Premier League match, so would even things out.

He was quality against Argentina, he can just light the afterburner and be gone. It'd be hands full for our defence if we beat Croatia and France win this.

I know but if I said that he would score a screamer

Hate it when the French start time wasting and lying down with every little knock.

They are good enough without having to resort to that kind of stuff.

Yup. Classless and there is no need at all.

And set-pieces result from open play.
You usually don't get a corner-kick unless you are attacking!

I do believe Southgate will field an unchanged side for the SF.

We’ve torn every side apart with a set-pice this tournament with the exception of Belgium.

Scored twice from corners v Tunisia? Panama 4 goals came from setpieces and we forced fouls in the box. We forced Colombia to foul Kane in the box from another setpiece. Maguire won every header that game but he couldn’t get one on target and followed that up v Sweden.

It goes to show how meticulous Southgate has been in his preparations — the research into blocking in basketball and American football has paid off at set piece time. All credit to Southgate.

Where has the rest of the time added on gone? France took at least a minute to take a free kick after the 6 minutes went up.

They didn’t lie down with each knock. They jumped up and threw selves to ground

That's it. France into the Final. Got to be the absolute favourites to win outright, surely?

For Belgium both Lukaku and De Bryune were sadly under par.

Lukaku had looked so quick and sharp in the last game out and tonight looked slow and sluggish.

That Mbappe is going to take some stopping.

Always the way though. VAR (albeit not in this game) surely eats into time, too.

Mbappe heir apparant for greatest player. He's already had a better world cup than Messi's ever managed.

Solid French performance, looked dangerous on the break and solid at the back. Tough nut to crack.

Feel sorry for Martinez

Better than us or Croatia though. Rock solid defensively, and enough individual flair up front and in midfield to unpick in an instant.

Still... it'd be about time we got tested against a decent team

Kept Belgium quiet which is pretty special given their form

Oh yeah, don't doubt that, but they aren't unbeatable.

IF England can win tomorrow, for the first time at this WC we will go into a game as underdogs.

I think our young team will love the extra freedom that will give them.

COME ON ENGLAND

Yup.

We would need to play our hearts out against them. Would have much rather played Belgium myself.

Nobody's unbeatable.

One-off game, just needs a dip from them and Sterling to come good for us and who knows.

Have to get there first, mind!

Think that is a worry, their defence. Does look very solid and they all worked so hard. I really dislike that Griezmann, but he doesn't half put a shift in.
