Shocking. Discuss..

(Sorry just feel it's a bit harsh having 1 thread slating Maddison when there were so many shite performances today)

How many threads are you gonna start? You say harsh having one for Maddison but you've started one for Murphy and Armstrong

Can't we just group them all together into one thread.

Everyone was awful.

It wasn't harsh, it was asking about that stupid dive he did in their box. He is probably worth as much as the whole fleetwood team today....

That was my point, probably doesn't translate that way on a forum.

What about that on pass in the 2nd half? Shocker.

He passed it from his own byeline about 30 yards right across the field and straight to 2 approaching Fleetwood players. Probably the worst pass of the game.

Stokes was shocking. But shockingly good for a player who was in non-league not long ago.

Thought Stokes wasn't too bad today.

It was an awful pass, but some of his interceptions and turns and still trying to make things happen going forward until the end.

Cargill who I liked v bury, looked a bit pub player and definitely needs pace alongside him as he has none.

I thought Stokes was good today - the only consistent outlet we had, he continues to improve in my opinion.

Stephens looked composed too, bar the odd sloppy pass he looks a real talent.

I agree with RCC.

Speaks volumes when the only players to come out of a 2-1 loss with any dignity are defenders. Especially in a team that boasted strong attacking talent.

That maddison never become a top player while he's got a hole up his arse. Some one needs to feed the weed up.

I'm not his biggest fan normally but though he actually had a decent game today.

I honesty couldn't describe what went wrong today - we simply have no fight when the chips are down. We are flat track bullies. Can't do it when the going gets tough.

We had no plan b, that's what went wrong today. We tried to play through them with little one two's and when they didn't come off we had nothing else. Not until the 3 subs came on.

We've been saying for an age now that we lack a plan b.

Absolutely - and since November we've had circa 15 games to find a plan B including a transfer window.

Mowbray has belief in this first eleven, but today showed he needs other options. Even if we won today he can't surely think we'll have no other suspensions or injuries.

We've got 4 games in quick succession coming up so I just hope we click.

We keep saying that don't we.

Our winning run was one game in a row. Keep thinking we are going to click into gear and we don't.

I really liked TM trying to change things with the 3 subs today. Thought it was very brave, but I am now starting to question him in general.

I think it is now 3 wins in 14 matches. That's relegation form, not top 6.

I have this horrible feeling we might now slide into midtable mediocrity.

Something HAS to change.

RCC did reasonably well, made some crucial saves, stokes put in a fair performance, cargil and Stephens started well but made some errors as the game went on. Vincelot and fleck didn't perform like we no they can. Arma was not given anything to test there defence, Ricketts was poor, to slow and predictable and is now the weak link in the back 4. Cole didn't really get going, huffed and puffed along trying but to no effect. Murphy and Maddison were poor. Murphy does not want to run at players anymore and take them on. Too wasteful cutting inside with a loose shot. Needs to produce. Maddison had his worst game in my opinion, seemed to try and draw too many fouls in positions that are no good to capitalise from a free kick. Too many touches and misplaced passes. With both him and Murphy not going in for 50/50 is costly in pressing from the front. Instantly the opposition are given a free passage into our own half.
Pts are getting critical now could be time for changes. Lameiras should be given a chance to have a impact at the expense of Maddison or Murphy

Lightweight across the middle with Cole, Murphy and Maddison. Sure they can play nicely with the ball (well 2 of the 3) when they have it, but any 50/50s and we were losing out too much (especially as Vincelot got booked fairly early on). May need the physicality of Rose (as Cole won't be able to play 2 games in a week) and i'm just not sure whether Murphy needs a rest (play Tudgay up with Armstrong, and change the formation?)

Anyone who thinks we played well today is a deluded fool. and that is putting it politely, we were shit.. no we were fucking shit and that is being kind about our perfomance.

But Lameiras came on and was even worse than what was already out on the pitch. He was simply dreadful.

If we are lightweight across the midfield, the obvious answer is Rose. He has some physicality about him.

Nope.

I have been positive all season long. I got negative about our automatic chances after Burton and got really concerned after Scunthorpe.

The Bury game though made me think that maybe we might be back on track.

Don't keep changing my mind. When we went 11 points clear of 7th place I said I believed a play-off place was sealed.

Today is the first time I have believed our play-off place is now at risk. Before today I was certain we would finish top 6.

I'd differ on that, thought he took on Fleetwoods defence when he came on and asked questions of them finally. Something we did not do after the first 15 mins, and did what Murphy didn't do and run at them, played passes and opened up gaps. Looked positive and offered himself which is what we need from a attacking position.

I think nearly everything Lameiras did ended up with him losing possession, passing the ball out of play or putting a poor cross in.

I didn't see him do anything of note, other than put us in trouble unfortunately.

I really, really don't think Lameiras is the sort of player we need right now. We need more of a roll our sleeves up, fight for every ball type of player at the moment.

tbf he played a great ball into Armstrong for our equaliser but other than that didn't do much.

Yep, the one and only time Armstrong got played in behind the defence and it resulted in the equaliser.

Did he? Can't remember who put the ball through. If it was Lameiras then fair play and I will accept that, but the rest of his play was poor.

Would say Lameiras is exactly what we don't need at the moment. I think we need the likes of Henderson, Tudgay and Rose. Players who will run a battle hard and not be out muscled.
