I feel at times the football we play is good

I like the fact that for the first time in ages we look for the short pass rather than just lumping it forward, which means we lose possession and the other team can then just attack us.

The problem though for me is that the players at times seem very reluctant to go forward in numbers and if we do break down the wings to get the cross in, there just seems to be a big open space not we don't attack.

I have seen it from our first game this season there just doesn't seem to be any urgency to get forward and the lack of off the ball movement is a really puzzle for me as when were in the final 3rd attacking. We just don't seem to
support each other and give ourselfs options.

I'm fully behind Andy Thorn and think given the backing he can do well for us.
If I looked at this squad of players and they were at another club then I would look at them as one of the relegation favs

We were second favourite to go down at the start of the season, we are fighting a relegation battle already. I think this may tell you something.

So I would suggest that it proves we have the right manager in charge.

Just a lack of players that can keep us in this league.

I just hope the 'Thorn out' fans think about this.

I get the feeling that 99% of the fans at the games want Thorn as manager.

While the Millwall fans were singing you'll be sacked in the morning, there was a big response of 'Andy Thorns skyblue army'
Which shows me he does have great support still from us.

Ok you answer me this. Weve come so close in 3 games this to winning untill the 90th, that is the difference. The players last night showed in the first half they are capable. Second half it went pete tong. The manager is to blame i dont care what you say. Whatever happened in that dressing room at half time didnt work last night. Simple as that. The players are capable but they are losing faith with Thorn. I'll support the manager doesn't mean i think hes the right man.

Not winning games in the 90th min can not all be put down to Thorn.

Answer me this ... Was it thorns fault that Juke put that last min pen over the bar ?

I think I would have to go with a no for that one.

We have some players capable of keeping us in the championship but we don't have a team capable of doing it.

Juke missing the pen is irrelevant, concededing copious amount of late goals is the problem, and it’s down to the tactics of Thorn to see of games. We’ve took the lead in plenty of games this season and failed to hold onto it. This is very much down to Thorn's tactics and what he tells the players to do, we seem to sit back and invite pressure. Last night we played well first half, dunno what Thorn's team talk was afterwards but it obviously didn’t work. If the players lose confidence in the manager then to me there’s no way back.

Juke blasting the ball over the bar IS relevant as we'd have three more points on the board. And what a difference a week makes, eh? We were immense against Leeds last Tuesday. Same team, same manager, same tactics.

So it's Thorn's fault if we don't win
But irrelevant if a player misses a pen ? : s

I would argue concededing late goals is down to inexperience rather than Thorn's tactics.

Are you for real?

Firstly we would only be 2 points better off and players miss penatlies all season, you name me any other team in the Championship who concede more late goals then us? Secondly we were not immense against Leeds. We rode our luck. It could have been 2-0 or 3-0 by half time. The fact Leeds sat back and allowed us back in the game was the reason.

Same tactics which see us score a measly 11 goals in 15 games.

Read above, an individual missing a pen occurs all season. One team conceding late goals on a regular basis don’t. That why its irrelevant.
If you believe its down to inexperience then sorry but i disagree. Happened too many times under Thorns leadership.

Two goals we conceded against Burnley were down to individual errors by two of our more inexperienced players.
My point being that I don't think that was down to tactics.
Players do miss pens through the season, it happens.
But bringing it up was relevant to prove not winning games in the 90th min is mot always Thorn's fault.

ROD was to blame for the late goal. He's in his mid 20's.

Burnley was a prime example of his poor tactics. Why did he not bring on Deegan once Bigi got sent off?

I agree that him missing the pen was not Thorn's fault but his tactics in other games are questionable.

ROD is cack and would be no where near the team if we had the funding of a championship team, his fault for the Burnley winner.

Gael's fault for the first goal and then his stupid tackle for his sending off cost us that game.
Ideally Deegan should have came on for Gael but as Thorn said he wasn't really fit enough and that's again down to us having such a small squad with lack of investment that we didn't have options to change it when we could all see that we needed to.

Again, my view is that's not down to Thorn's tactics but inexperience.

We have spent less than any other team. We lost about half of our 1st team without replacing them. All the fault of AT I suppose? :facepalm:

Its not Thorn out or Thorn in. Its whether he should always be on this great big pedestal, quoted as the best manager we have had since relegation and never blamed for anything

Undoubtedly true, I can't see the fans turning on him- Andy Thorns Sky Blue Army was sung almost constantly last night.

In one way, that suits SISU as they won't be pressured to go searching for a high profile manager.

But if they did decide to replace, would give more ammunition for SISU to be criticised.

Personally, I don't think Thorn is ready for management, and is having to learn as he goes along.

It's not about him being on a pedestal or not
It's about realising the lack of invest is the real issue and not the tactics.

Thorn is going to make mistakes, if he never did then he would be manager of a bigger club than us.

Sacking the manager every season or half season has not worked for us in all the years we have been in the championship.
