Now they have to come to us

this makes our home games massive. It is vital some of the day trippers stay on board

our home form will decide if we get promoted

I believe this also gives us the edge during the run in, most of the better teams have to come to us...
Nobody will want to play us ATM

I don’t fear them away, Fleetwood will be the tougher one away, we were rubbish there midweek last year

Fleetwood on Tuesday, after the Blues game, is where squad rotation will come in.

The squad rotation should come in for the Blues game, Fleetwood match is more important.

I don’t think the club will see it that way especially with all the interest in the game

Badly worded by me - I meant to cover the two games. Blues game is still really important - a win could mean a minimum £500k more

It could be a great atmosphere for the young ‘uns (players as well as fans) that have never experienced more than 5 or 6 thousand before. Could do wonders for the rest of the season. Especially if we pull off a victory.
What we need is a loud proud crowd

Precisely. Rather rotate the squad and go for the chance of playing them in the league. Fleetwood more important

I hope this is true. My Wycombe supporting workmate is not looking forward to the return leg, and after our 3-0 win v Bristol Rover said ‘you lot aren’t losing for a while’.

Hopefully, that is the wider perception with other supporters around the league.

Likely + £250k for last L1 team, gate receipts, chance to play a big team, goid chance will be on tv and if we do progress further, then more again.

Personally I'd prefer to win the Fleetwood game still (which btw I've managed to work out a supplier visit in Blackburn on the same day for the second consecutive season. Almost as if it was planned lol

no guarantees we will lose / win either game. We have a decent enough squad for neither game to be “2nd string”

Not so sure we have a 2nd string this season. Just a long first string.

When we say rotation its only really tje 2 attack mids striker and possibly wingbacvk isnt it?

Gk 3 cbs walsh and allen need to play every game really

Mason and pask seem reliable backups for wing positions and 4ama for 2 slots

Leaves 3 strikers for 1 striker position

Pretty strong regardless

The Fleetwood game is a worry. They've only lost once at home all season and you hope there won't be a hangover from the cup game. That game has to be the priority, especially as we'll lose ground to other teams on Saturday. Yeah, we'll have games in hand, but a negative result at Fleetwood and we might suddenly be outside the play-offs playing catch-up.

What’s happened to Peterborough and Bristol rovers. Both same stats....

Last 5 games, 1 point, scored 1, conceded 10

That just illustrates how tight things, we could be top after this game or outside the top 6.
My prediction that teams will start to fall away has proven to be as accurate as most my predictions!

Peterborough seem to always have this type of horrendous wobble. Their overall team isn’t that good, it’s just masked by very good strikers (the main driver of this, in my opinion, is that the board invest in strikers as they can grow in value most). Move away from their attacking players and I wouldn’t swap a single one of their starting lineup for ours.

Can confirm. Friends at work support Pompey and Posh and they both reckon it will be Rotherham and Cov that go up automatically.

Yes, but £250k to the L1 team that progresses furthest (only Pompey v Barnsley) who have as good a chance as us. (Newcastle v Oxford) and Shrewsbury v Liverpool) are the others. In addition, if we get through to the 5th round, it will generate more money (gate and potential TV), so could push past £500k

Watched highlights on Quest. Bristol Rovers are just a bunch of cloggers. When all fit, they can be a nuisance, but only through physicality and if JCH is on song. Peterborough thrashed Wimbledon and lost 1-0! Ivan Toney could have had at least a hat trick. it was one of those games. That said they always seem vulnerable at the back, and interestingly, I thought Toney was subtly hinting at his willingness to leave on TV last night.

I wouldn’t bet against Oxford beating Newcastle to be honest.

Sounded like it to me - 'things will take care of themselves' rather than 'I am happy here' !

The extra revenue from making it to the 5th round would possibly cover wages for one more signing or key loan player from the prem. If spent wisely could be invaluable. On the other hand if we lose then we go into Tuesday on a bit of a downer... There's not a particularly great result on Saturday that keeps the team fresh for the upcoming fixtures.
