Did they announce something last night about more work being done. Wasn’t really listening but thought I heard something about a PA upgrade

The PA /sound system is dire to be fair. The play off semi at the riverside the sound and lighting before the game was great. It can back fire though, the crisp bowl has all the big flags and a great sound system pre match but then as soon as it stops they go quiet.
The atmosphere has to come from the fans, sometimes the players need to get the excitement going but CBS is up there now

Agree the stadium is looking great now but we had to queue up for ages to get in. It was ridiculous, there were loads of people still outside when the match kicked off and were still coming in 10/15 mins into the game. This for a 17.4k crowd, what's it gonna be like when we have sellout games?
That's because people don't read how to use the barcodes on tickets. It even says how to do it on your phone.

Would think that with season tickets people would get through quicker.

Do we really need to own it?

It's been a money pit for anyone who's ever owned it. Granted Frasers lost 14 million on it last year but they've invested a lot on bringing it to to scratch.

Doesn't seem to have attracted any large concerts this summer either which is strange

Il be interested in seeing next year's accounts for the stadium...
I read somewhere that there is hardly any football ground concerts this year, something to do with the Taylor Swift tour, don't know what difference that makes though

Supposed to be being done after the Bremen game. At least that's what I think they announced over the PA last night...

What was the subway under the railway like last night? I popped up to the club shop on Sunday and parked at Tesco and walked over, but both subways were flooded and pretty much impassable! Did that get sorted before last night?
I've always thought we should turn the walls into ccfc related theme through the subways like Middlesbrough have and hull city if I remember rightly.

When the attendance got read out last night I had a real sense of ‘we’ve come a long way’ (SHFWC).

I was part of 6,500 crowds for actual league games less than a decade ago. The idea of having nearly triple that for a friendly is wild.

I remember having whole rows to just your group.
There were a lot of times the actual attendances were a lot lower than announced too with STHs not turning up.

Midweek games you could have whole sections of blocks to yourself.

Would it be that difficult to give stewards a scanner themselves?

I even saw a family of five and all the tickets were on one phone which had to keep being passed backwards everytime one went in.the two problems were not opening the turnstiles until 30 minutes before ko at some gates and the paper/scanned tickets being to difficult for some to understand how to use

Hospitality was even worse/better. Only half of the club Coventry lounge was open and even that was empty. I remember being able to wander down and sit in the Subs/coaches seats behind the dugout for a couple of games and no one was bothered.

Transport will never be sorted unless we all agree to arrive by pushbike in which case a two lane motorway will be built from the rail and bus station and other popular locations

As someone else has said, tickets on phones aren’t great when it’s multiple tickets meaning the handed over and the separate tickets called up and displayed. suggesting people turn up early and then not opening the gates until 39 minutes after the published time wouldn’t have helped either.
However, as you say, once STs are in use it should be a lot better.

There are signs around the blue ribbon island stating jimmy hill way will be closed fro 5th August until spring 25. Not sure if that means a total closure or what? Just read as I drove past. That will get the moaning started!!

Seems like all it really needed to turn from a soulless bowl to an intense hub of support was a winning team.

How difficult is it to present a bit of paper to a scanner the right way up?

We're all doomed, the human race is fucked.

One gripe, and surely it's a easy fix?
Move the TV gantry to the balcony.
The ground will be bouncing this season, we need to pursue this.

Another problem I witnessed was people with cases on their phones which meant phone wouldn't fit in scanner slot. Had to remove case first.
