I'm sure this subject has been talked about before. Has anyone thought that SISU are only in this to get half the stadium because that makes money, I will bet my house on it that IF we purchase half of the stadium it will be done under a different company name not affiliated with coventry city football club. They will safe guard there investment. So if club goes bust SISU will still have the stadium.

The Stadium won't be worth an awful lot without a football team based there. Owning half as I understand, will not be terribly profitable. I'm sure OSB will have an educated opinion when he swings by.

Maybe it wont earn much without a team but they will just market it differently. They will try and get other sporting events or music events there.

Get rid of the football and the 12k crowd it brings in every other week and market it as a music arena. Rip up the grass, get all the big artists to stop off here during their tours to play in front of an alcohol guzzling 30/40k and then I'm pretty sure the numbers would speak for themselves.

No-one does stadium tours in the Winter. There is a reason for this. If they put a roof on it then maybe, but the NEC would be too much competition I feel.

The Higgs trust and the council should NOT sell any half of the stadium to SISU and it should be part of agreement that this stays with Coventry City FC. This has been talked about before and that was my take on this.

Trouble with another company buying it is they dont have the option with the Higgs Charity to buy at £10m. The difference between that price and the market value is the worth in the deal. Buying half does not guarantee any owner of 50% of the shares any income as it stands be it CCFC, SISU, Otium or A N other ltd for all the reasons I have said before

Lets also be certain that the current owners of ACL will want to know who is behind any prospective purchaser, their plans, their worth and would put restrictions on what can be done with that 50%. Plus the council have said they are not interested in selling to any one

The city council will not sell to SISU. It's not even worth any air time and I don't understand why this came out from SISU.

It's simply that the council wont sell to SISU as they dont understand there business ethics.

As CCFC123 says there is no way that the Council will even enter into talks with Sisu. They know them to be spivs and will never talk to them.

i've not been here for a while.
but as i understand, the Higgs charity can only sell to the football club their 50% stake for £10M

The council can sell their 50% stake to anybody they want to but (by law) not less than the currant market value of which i have no idea.

so if sisu want to own the stadium they would have to pay the higgs charity £10m + 50% of the currant market value of the stadium
but the council won't sell at the currant market price because it would represent a loss to the tax payers of the city

Which i'm happy about because i wouldn't trust sisu to manage a piss-up in a brewery let alone the premier venue for indian weddings
