Absolute no brainer of a decision for both him and the club if the price tag is £3M plus. Even if SP gets a third of that to reinvest in players then that should be enough to get a couple of quality players in.

A third? you have to be joking, he won't get any of it, it.

He's leaving for loads more money(if he goes), and wouldn't blame him.

Anybody who is still at the club you will consider to be enormously happy then?

Could you start a thread?

Maybe?

Coventry players love it at Northampton!

You would think that any player that has been at our club for a season or more would want out. They seem to have 3 choices if they stay. Get sold, run out their contract and not get a new contract offer or go into a bomb squad. So much for building for the future and trust.

The player may of asked to talk to other clubs as his agent would of told him the money involved the club may have said until a figure is reached no deal,, that figure has now been excepted and the player will earn his life changing contract...Well done to CW and fair play to the owners for sticking by the figure they set, good business and all included accept the fans. This is no shock or surprise, its been coming and i even posted a conversation i had with an agent after Bradford away last year, he was heavily touted and sort after, so the outcome is just the football business at work...

Good luck to him and hope he does well no matter where he ends up,, lets see if another young un pops up from the academy as i'm not sure Sisu will be looking to invest the lot this season... Still good business for the club though,, well that's if they bring in quality that matches what has been lost...
