I read at least one novel per week - mostly crime or horror genres.

I note with interest BBC1 are screening a version of one of my favourite modern Horror novels - James Herbert's The Secret of Crickley Hall - tomorrow evening at 9 pm.

Could be worth a watch. I suspect it will not live up to the novel - the hero is some bloke who appears in Miranda - but if it does it will be worth a watch.

The dark secrets that lurk in the bowels of Crickley Hall are even worse than Andy Thorn's managerial record -- you have been warned.

10/10 for somehow getting Andy Thorn into a thread about a tv programme based on a famous novel.

Great read and look forward to it, hope 3 episodes will do it justice but in line with most short adaptations fear it won't.

Thought the TV depiction moved a bit quicker than the book but thats not unreasonable ........ or is it the speed i read :laugh:

I thought it did it justice and the suspense is only just building.

Was the fact that it was 737 pages long that made it Boeing?
