That’s a definite possibility, however, it’s more of a ‘hope’ than ‘he will be the same player’.

Even if he can just do a fraction of what he used to IE drawing players away, out of position, it’ll open up the opposition a bit. Right now, we’re just flat and clueless.

No, but maybe you can learn lessons about completely writing off a team less than 2 months into the season?

If anything, not having a total meltdown a month and a half into the season is the light approach.

However, as you mentioned it, when it comes to CCFC I do take things very seriously, yes. It's important to me.

If you feel like it's just a game then good for you, it's more important to others.

Last night was our worst performace of the season. Our only other defeat at Leicester, we played them off the park for the most part,
It's frustrating that Simms and Wright haven't got going yet, and we have now lost Sheaf until November. Feels a little like the season after the League 2 play off win. We bought in loads of playera that summer, and it took a while for Robins to work out his best team and for the team to gel. I think we have bought well, and Simms & Wright will soonn start scoring + O'Hare wil be back shortly.

I think that's the problem right there. Wright and Simms just haven't got going yet and it's something you can ill afford as a team when they are both part of your strike force.

Simms did alright last season at Sunderland didn't he? 7 goals in 17 appearances.

You have to believe at least one of them will start to get going soon.

Robins plays pretty much a 5 2 3. With wingbacks not getting forward much.
The 3 contribute little to the work of the team. Don't hold the ball up, don't tackle back, often don't provide an outlet. It's a weird disjointed formation with those players and a thankless job for midfield.
The main hope going forward is COH linking up, getting in amongst and forcing activity from our strikers.
Otherwise change formation.

This season has bottom half all over it unfortunately, as long as we aren't in relegation danger I think Robins stays.

I think we've bought some ok players but Hamer leaving and not being replaced is a real gut punch.

Club have 12 months to figure out how to get the best out of Wright and Simms, for the defence to bed in and be settled and identify and secure the Hamer replacement.

Agreed. I just wanted to show some perspective. Vik and Gus hadn't performed at the same stage.

Then you’d probably be about right.

After 4 draws the next game was always going to be the one that shaped our season. Had we pushed on after equalizing and beat a very average Cardiff side, we'd all be aiming for the playoffs again. As it is we are looking at bottom half. But things change quickly and I don't think there is a stand out side in this div this season.

Feels like it is going to be like the first season in L1.

Loads of new players who haven't played in the league before showing inconsistent form in the first half of the season (and every time we didn't win for a few games the bedwetters would say we're going to be in a relegation scrap).

Plugged the holes in January, sorted the system out and improved to finish 8th with an outside shot of the play offs.

I think we will finish in a comfortable mid-table position, probably around 10-15th. It will take a while for the team to gel but eventually it will, so I expect our poor start to continue for a while but for us then to slowly start climbing up the table.

I don't totally rule out a push for the top six but I don't think we will make it. With two or three new players and some of the present ones starting to improve I expect better things next season.
