2nd half they shut down all the space he operates in

Something seems to have clicked though, the turns and one touch passes were sublime first half.

But it’s more over the last 3 games, 3 big goals. Showing all his abilities again and coming good at the right time.

I waxed lyrical about saka's control the other week... but fuck me Rudoni's control and first touch(s) was world class today.

That magnetic touch he has on those mazy runs has returned. Always looking to turn and move forward, so much more dangerous when he’s drifting inside as well, rather than hugging the wing. If he maintains anything like the form he had at the end of last season then we’ll be champions within weeks.

He was brilliant in the first half today. His upturn in form has come at the perfect time.

Rudoni is absolute quality. Never been in doubt. Has obviously been struggling with his shoulder. I noticed he had some sort of support on it in the Sheff U game. It’s obviously been an issue

Rudoni coming back into form and BTA back to fitness and the arrival of Onyeka has made us look like a team capable of winning this league again

The strength in depth looks frightening

Tread very carefully, a certain poster who follows people around like a bad smell won't like the thread title.

True. Amazing really. The depth thing is quoted now and is real but it’s really just Esse and Onyeka. Good players, of course, but also shows the fine margins in a squad

Was outstanding first half. Some of the best I’ve seen from him. Lovely to have him back.

He was never bad. Just clearly dealing with injuries.

The he doesn't fit our tactic and burden talk was nonsense like I said at the time

At some point you need to start listening to me and save yourself being wrong

Unbelievable first half.

Second half he struggled against a team in a low block, as he often does and he was drifting out to the right again. This does seem to be an issue for us as a team though, and we will encounter many more team sittting deep in the coming weeks.

Great character to get the winner.
