I have received an email from The Roost (pub nextdoor to St Andrews) following an enquiry about whether they would open to City fans on matchdays. Thought it would be worth posting:

Hope you’re well. In short yes. We have already reached out to a couple of the fan forums and will be welcoming coventry home fans to the Roost on match days.

We also plan on looking into coaches which would pick up in coventry and drop to the pub which is just a 2 minute walk to the ground.

We have a DJ from 1.30 and a number of drinks offers on match days.

Please help us spread the word.

Look forward to seeing you in the Roost soon

I hope so... then the place will be empty, and can get to the bar without issue!

It was bouncing in there a couple of seasons back. Think we ended up dancing on the tables with a hen party.

I bet that was about 11AM too, it's always a bit of a timestop up there. Strolling out of somewhere shitfaced at 2PM thinking it should be nighttime.

Good on them.
Plan on making a day of it in Brum at the start of the season but come winter a bus straight to a pub near the ground sounds ideal.

Given that it's very much a Blues pub, you'd think maybe they'd be a bit stuffy about it, but looks like the opposite so fair play and you can't blame them for taking advantage of 25 extra matchdays.
