Garlick has to shoulder some of the blame as well.

She runs the stadium forum, which by all accounts concentrates on match day experience at the Ricoh.....

Well, its woeful, closed betting shops, closed refreshment kiosks, no shop, no sky blue sam etc etc.....

well, as the head of the stadium comittee, surely she could feed back that fans want a bookies open and access to refreshments. Lets face it, they should be driiving it, as they want access to all revenues in the new stadium, so should be encouraging fans to be used to spending inside the arena so they can reep the rewards long term.

Can't believe people think that the lack of the annoying mascot is detrimental to the matchday experience - football was more enjoyable before gimmicks like that were invented!

I've got to agree with the OP. I've had enough of all the bull shit that goes with following Ccfc . I've not enjoyed the match day experience in years . I listen to the games on CWR and go to the local games to where I live. Watching rugby is by far a great day out and great value for your money. I just wish I lived nearer coventry so I could go up the Butts . PUSB and up the COV !!!

Never been into rugby, but I watched Speedway for the very first time last month at Brandon Stadium. Enjoyed it very much and will definately go again next season.

We used to go to the Speedway throughout the 70s, home and away during the Ole Olsen years. Then about ten years or so ago I started going again for two or three seasons but not been for ages now.

As for Rugby - I hate it, could never watch it, but saying that I will stick up for CRFC over Wasps any time. Can't be doing with all this CRFC stuff on the forum though.

I think what the OP's post is very relevant. As it is another potential CCFC fan lost.
We know our owners read this site. He is explaining why he is finding an alternative sporting attraction a better experience than his beloved sky blues. He is giving our owners some valuable feedback. That might give them an insight about what they need to change to avoid losing more fans

Insight is great. Having the nouse and cash to act on it is a different thing. The club is pot less, just take a look at the shop they have cut budgets to the quick every where and are reaping the rewards. What chance of people renewing season tickets next year when the off field antics of the owners make bigger headlines than the players. I can remember when the likes of David Speadie made the back and front pages, we never heard about the owners then. Football is about entertainment and that's something were not at the moment, that's why the atmosphere is so sterile. You have to give people something to get excited about and Sisu through budget cuts have given nothing but decline and the turgid fair that is so far removed from real football its been like watching lower non league at stages. The thing that gets me is we have shortened the width of the pitch to compress the game, that means we lump the ball forward and feed off the knock downs. Didn't we sack Hoofroyd for this style of play and the results it bought, we no farther forward then we were then. People will continue to look at other sporting avenues until they see owners with an interest in the game with a desire for success, the only thing the current incumbents are interested in is the pursuit of financial gain and has nothing to do with heritage or the glory of winning in sport.

Thats the whole point, it wasn't pathetic, it was a great result, a great team effort, sportsmen digging deep roared on by a passionate crowd. Coventry folk being proud of Coventry.

Tremendous value for money.
